Dear Sir Victor Antai KJW, PhD
Sir, I honestly do not know if words will ever be enough to express the depth of my gratitude to you.
Some people come into our lives and make a difference, while others come along and change the entire direction of our story. You have been that person to me.
You took me under your wing when you did not have to. You believed in me, gave me a platform to grow, trusted me with opportunities, and gave me a job that became far more than just employment; it became a pathway to becoming a better version of myself.
You didn't just give me a place to work; you gave me room to become.
And then, over the weekend, you did something that has left me genuinely speechless. You supported and funded my wedding, stood by me in one of the most important moments of my life, and, despite everything you have going on, you showed up in person.
Sir, your presence at my wedding meant more to me than I can properly explain. It was not just the financial support. It was not just the gift. It was not just your presence. It was the message behind it all:
“I believe in you. I am proud of you. And I am here for you.”
That message will stay with me for the rest of my life.
You have invested in my growth, opened doors for me, stood behind me, and now you have played a significant role in one of the greatest milestones of my life. I will never take any of this for granted.
When I look at where I am today, I can see the fingerprints of people who believed in me when I was still becoming—and you are undoubtedly one of the biggest reasons I have come this far.
Thank you for being more than a boss. Thank you for being a mentor, a leader, a benefactor, and, most importantly, a man who genuinely cares about the people under his leadership.
I pray that just as you have lifted me, heaven will continually lift you. May you never lack helpers. May your own children and generations after you enjoy favour. May every seed of kindness you have planted in the lives of others return to you in ways beyond your imagination.
And whenever I look back on this chapter of my life, I will remember that there was a man who saw potential in me, gave me an opportunity, supported my dreams, and stood beside me when I said: “I do.”
Sir, thank you for changing my life. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for everything.
I may never be able to repay you for all you have done, but I promise to make the most of every opportunity you have given me, to make you proud and to promise you, for as long as you live: "You shall never walk alone"
From the deepest part of our hearts, Mr and Dr Mrs Cyril Bassey thank you, Sir.
We are eternally grateful. 🙏🏽❤️
