ACCEPTANCE SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT GENERAL
THE BRIDGE OF ORO YOUTH INITIATIVE
My dear brothers and sisters, distinguished members of The Bridge of Oro Youth Initiative,
I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility.
First and foremost, I give all glory and honour to Almighty God for making this day possible. I sincerely appreciate the Electoral Committee, ably led by the Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nuwak, and the entire members of The Bridge of Oro Youth Initiative for your support, commitment, confidence, and for finding me worthy of your trust through your votes to serve as the President General of this great and noble organisation.
I do not take this mandate for granted. I accept it with humility, courage, and a clear understanding that leadership is a responsibility to serve, unite, and create meaningful impact.
A NEW CHAPTER OF LEADERSHIP
By the authority conferred upon me by the members of this great organisation, I hereby call on every member of The Bridge of Oro Youth Initiative, particularly the Executive Council, to uphold the principles upon which this organisation was established—peace, unity, development, accountability, and progress.
Let us make these principles more than just words. Let them become the foundation of our actions and decisions.
I appeal to every member to respect one another. We may come from different backgrounds, have different opinions, and approach issues differently, but we must never allow our differences to destroy the unity of this family.
I also charge every executive and member to take our respective responsibilities seriously. Our daily activities require commitment, discipline, consistency, and teamwork. The success of this administration will not depend on the President alone; it will depend on what we all contribute.
OUR OFFICIAL INAUGURATION
Let me also use this opportunity to remind everyone about our forthcoming Official Inauguration Ceremony, which we intend to make a memorable occasion of unity, culture, history, and renewed commitment.
The theme, “ORO NATION MUST RISE AGAIN,” carries a powerful message. It is not merely a celebration; it is a reminder of our collective responsibility to honour the memory and sacrifices of the heroes who came before us while building a better future for the generation coming after us.
We will communicate the full arrangements and programme of activities in due course. I therefore encourage everyone to prepare and contribute positively towards making this project meaningful and memorable.
More importantly, this initiative must go beyond ceremonies. We want to build a platform where Oro sons and daughters, particularly our youths, can find opportunities, support, and empowerment.
Our vision includes initiatives such as fundraising for meaningful projects, scholarship opportunities, job and skills-development initiatives, and other programmes that can positively affect the lives of our people.
THE GOVERNANCE WE PROMISE
My administration will pursue a culture of transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, consultation, and responsible leadership.
I promise to carry everyone along. I will listen to members, respect constituted structures, and work closely with the Board of Trustees and the Executive Council to advance the aims and objectives of this organisation.
However, I also need your cooperation.
We can only achieve our collective goals through peace, harmony, transparency, unity, one voice, accountability, discipline, and good governance.
Let us therefore put the interest of the organisation above personal differences.
TRANSITION INTO THE NEW ADMINISTRATION
As we officially begin this new administration, I hereby declare the Electoral Committee dissolved, having successfully completed the responsibility entrusted to it.
I sincerely appreciate the Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nuwak, and every member of the Electoral Committee for their service, dedication, and commitment throughout the electoral process.
Any other standing committees whose mandates have been concluded are equally hereby dissolved, subject to the established provisions and structures of the organisation.
Our daily activities commence tomorrow, and the operational calendar and responsibilities of the newly constituted officers will be communicated accordingly.
My dear members, the journey ahead is not going to be about one man. It is going to be about all of us.
I, Comrade Dominic Antai, President General of The Bridge of Oro Youth Initiative, hereby pledge my commitment to serving this organisation with humility, fairness, transparency, courage, and dedication.
Together, let us build a stronger organisation.
Together, let us empower our youths.
Together, let us preserve our heritage.
Together, let us create a legacy that future generations will be proud to inherit.
The Bridge of Oro Youth Initiative belongs to all of us, and its success is our collective responsibility.
