*THE NEED FOR SATISFACTION*
READING: Genesis 9:21-25
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
*MESSAGE*
Utility according to economics means: The ability of a commodity to satisfy needs or wants; the satisfaction experienced by the consumer of that commodity.
Every individual get satisfaction from one things or another, some people get satisfaction from eating and drinking; while some, is in committing atrocities and others they get their satisfaction from serving the Lord. There is nothing bad in satisfying your needs but that need is it to your peril or good?
Brethren, in Genesis 9:24 the need for satisfaction compel Noah lay curse upon his son... Likewise, in Genesis 19:30-36 the need for satisfaction brought abomination to the family of Lot when his daughter gave him what he love most( Drink) and they slept with him... Gen. 49:3-4 Reuben was coursed due to the satisfaction of uncontrollable sexual urge and 2King 5:21-27 Gehazi received leprosy for greediness and uncontrollable satisfaction for money. If you check your heart very well, there is a particular thing in your life that if you don't do it, you don't feel satisfied... Be careful so that the needs for satisfaction will not cut your life short.
Brethren, You bye pass your spouse to commit adultery because of needs for satisfaction, you put all the blames on your spouse saying, she/he doesn't have the strength to satisfied his/her urge/needs; you prefer to forge that signature, kidnap and killed a fellow just to meet unsatisfied needs for money... You are going to suffer the consequences and not only will you suffer this fruit that you are planting because your children will reap the seed you sow thereof.
*Prayer Point*
Father, deliver me from the sin cause by my needs for satisfaction in Jesus name. Amen.
