Osun Food Bank Food Subsidy Programme for January 2025 will take off in a few days.

The following categories of people are eligible to apply:

1. Private School Teachers
2. Widows/Widowers/Divorced Women
3. Single Mothers
4. Indigent Students
5. Yet-to-be-Employed graduates

Interested persons will be required to provide proof of low/zero income before onboarding.

We commenced sale of subsidized food items on Saturday, 7th December, 2024.

So far, we have served 31 families with food items - rice, beans, gaari, and yam - subsidized up to 30%.

We have also added all beneficiaries to a WhatsApp group. The implication of this is that every beneficiary of Osun Food Bank continues to be a beneficiary of subsidized food until their finances improve and they decide to opt out of the scheme.

We are determined to subsidize food for up to 100 families this month and expand the population of beneficiaries in the coming months.

HOW TO BE A BENEFICIARY OF OSUN FOOD BANK FOOD SUBSIDY PROGRAMME

The Programme is for WIDOWS/WIDOWERS, INDIGENT STUDENTS, SINGLE MOTHERS, & PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS.

1. Decide the quantities of food items that you need, using our price template as guide. Note that your eventual offer will depend on your family size.

2. Send a WhatsApp message to 08023949922 containing the following information:

Category within Targeted Audience:
Quantity of Food desired:

Once the request is received, one of our Volunteers will contact you with our offer.

Note that food items will be picked up in Osogbo and payment will be made at the pickup point. We will not request any advance payment from any beneficiary.

OSUN FOOD BANK UPDATE

Osun Food Bank offers food items to low-income earners and vulnerable persons at 30% discount compared to food market prices.

Food items available are - Rice, Beans, Yam, Garri, and Eggs.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This Intervention is strictly for Osun State Residents who fall within the following categories:

1. Widows & Widowers who earn low income
2. Single Moms who earn low income
3. Indigent/Vulnerable Students (Orphans, etc)
4. Private School Teachers

PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY

1. Proof of low income - Bank account record, etc.
2. Identity Document for Employed persons and Students

LIMIT TO PURCHASE

Each beneficiary shall only be able to access a quantity of food commensurate to their monthly need. This is to prevent purchases with the intent to resell.

PICKUP LOCATION

All food items will be picked up in Osogbo after confirmation of payment.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
