🔥 FEMI OTEDOLA BUYS ANOTHER ₦12.58 BILLION WORTH OF FIRST HOLDCO SHARES!

Billionaire businessman and First HoldCo Chairman, Femi Otedola, has once again increased his stake in the financial services group.

According to a regulatory filing reported by Nairametrics, Otedola, through his investment vehicle Calvados Global Services Limited, acquired 95.7 million First HoldCo shares at ₦131.48 per share on August 24, 2026.

💰 Value of the transaction: ₦12.58 billion

📈 His total shareholding has now risen to approximately 12.15 billion shares, representing about 26.6% of First HoldCo.

And this is not an isolated purchase.

Otedola has been aggressively accumulating First HoldCo shares throughout 2026, with several major acquisitions running into hundreds of billions of naira.

🤔 What does this mean for investors?

When a company's chairman and major shareholder continues to commit billions of naira to buying its shares, investors naturally pay attention.

It could signal strong confidence in the company's long-term prospects—although insider buying alone is never a guarantee that a stock will continue rising.

First HoldCo also recently reported a record ₦653.54 billion pre-tax profit for H1 2026, an 83.5% increase from the previous year.

📌 The bigger lesson:
Successful investors don't just watch what companies say. They watch what major shareholders are actually doing with their money.

Would you buy First HoldCo shares after seeing Otedola continue to increase his stake?

HOW TO GET RICH AS A TEACHER 📚💰

Can a teacher become rich? YES!

Teaching may not make you wealthy simply because you collect a salary every month—but your knowledge, skills and experience can become the foundation for multiple income streams.

Here are 7 ways a teacher can build wealth:

1️⃣ DON'T DEPEND ON SALARY ALONE
Your salary can pay the bills, but building wealth often requires additional sources of income.

2️⃣ START PRIVATE TUTORING
Teach students after school, on weekends, or online. You can specialize in subjects where there is strong demand, such as Mathematics, English, Sciences, coding or exam preparation.

3️⃣ CREATE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT 📱
Turn your knowledge into YouTube videos, Facebook content, online courses, ebooks, study materials and other digital products.

One lesson can potentially reach thousands of students.

4️⃣ BUILD A TUTORING BUSINESS
Don't remain the only person providing the service. Start small, build a reputation, then consider bringing other qualified teachers into your tutoring business.

5️⃣ LEARN HIGH-VALUE SKILLS
Teaching skills are valuable, but adding skills like technology, digital marketing, writing, public speaking, coding, data analysis or educational consulting can create new opportunities.

6️⃣ INVEST YOUR EXTRA INCOME 📈
Don't spend every extra naira you make.

Build an emergency fund, invest consistently, and allow your money to work alongside your effort.

7️⃣ BUILD A REPUTATION ⭐
The best teachers can become trusted brands.

When people know you as the teacher who gets results, opportunities can follow—private tutoring, speaking engagements, consulting, educational products and business partnerships.

💡 THE BIG IDEA

You don't necessarily have to quit teaching to become wealthy.

You can use teaching as your foundation.

Your classroom experience can give you knowledge.
Your knowledge can become a skill.
Your skill can become a service.
Your service can become a business.
And your business income can be invested to build long-term wealth.

A TEACHER CAN BE MORE THAN AN EMPLOYEE.

You can be an educator, entrepreneur, content creator, consultant, author and investor.

Start small. Build patiently. Keep learning.

🇳🇬 Your profession may be teaching—but your financial future can be much bigger.

💬 If you are a teacher, which of these would you start with?

5 THINGS THAT CAN DESTROY YOUR DREAMS 🚨💭

Dreams don't usually disappear overnight.

Sometimes, they are slowly destroyed by habits, decisions, and attitudes that seem harmless at first.

Here are 5 things that can destroy your dreams:

1️⃣ FEAR OF FAILURE
If you're too afraid to fail, you'll never give yourself the chance to succeed. Failure is not the opposite of success—it can be part of the journey.

2️⃣ PROCRASTINATION
“Tomorrow” can quietly steal the future you're working toward. A dream without action remains a dream.

3️⃣ NEGATIVE PEOPLE
Not everyone will understand your vision. Some people will discourage you, mock your ambitions, or constantly tell you why you can't succeed.

Listen to advice, but don't allow negativity to define your future.

4️⃣ LACK OF CONSISTENCY
Starting is easy. Continuing when the excitement disappears is where many people give up.

Small steps repeated consistently can produce incredible results.

5️⃣ MAKING EXCUSES
Your circumstances may be difficult, but constantly blaming your circumstances won't move you forward.

Focus on what you can control and take the next step.

🔥 REMEMBER:

Your dream needs more than motivation.

It needs discipline, patience, courage, learning and consistent action.

Don't let fear destroy it.
Don't let procrastination delay it.
Don't let negativity bury it.
Don't let inconsistency weaken it.
Don't let excuses kill it.

Protect your dream. Work on it. Believe in it. And keep moving.

💬 Which of these 5 do you think destroys the most dreams?

IN THIS LIFE, TO EARN YOUR PLACE, YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT. 🇳🇬🔥

Life doesn't always hand you what you deserve.

Sometimes, you have to work for it. Fight for it. Persist for it.

You may have to start with little.

You may have to compete with people who have more connections, more money, or more opportunities.

You may face rejection.

You may fail.

You may even have people tell you that your dream is impossible.

But don't let difficult circumstances convince you that you don't belong.

Keep building. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep showing up.

Your place is not earned by wishing.

It is earned through discipline, courage, consistency and action.

In Nigeria, where opportunities can be fiercely competitive, you can't afford to give up every time the road gets difficult.

Sometimes, the person who succeeds isn't the most talented.

It's the person who refuses to stop.

💡 Don't wait for someone to give you a place at the table.

Develop your skills.
Create value.
Build something.
Take your opportunities.
And keep moving forward.

Your journey may be difficult, but your struggle today can become the foundation of your success tomorrow.

🇳🇬 Stand up. Work hard. Keep pushing. Earn your place.

🚨 CBN REOPENS OMO TO RETAIL INVESTORS AFTER 7 YEARS

For the first time since 2019, individual Nigerians can once again participate in the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Open Market Operations (OMO) market.

Under the new framework, individuals, companies and non-bank financial institutions can participate in both the primary and secondary OMO markets, with transactions conducted through Deposit Money Banks.

💰 Why is the CBN doing this now?

The move comes as Nigeria approaches another election cycle, with concerns that increased election-related spending could put more money into circulation and reignite inflationary pressures.

By selling OMO securities, the CBN can absorb excess naira liquidity from the financial system and help keep inflation expectations under control.

📌 What this means for ordinary investors:

✅ A new fixed-income investment option is now available
✅ Individuals can access OMO securities through banks
✅ Investors get another avenue to potentially earn returns on idle naira
✅ Greater retail participation could deepen Nigeria's money and fixed-income markets

But remember: OMO is not automatically the best investment for everyone. Investors should consider the interest rate/yield, maturity period, fees, liquidity and how the investment fits their financial goals before committing money.

The CBN is essentially trying to pull excess cash out of circulation before election spending puts additional pressure on prices.

🇳🇬 Question for Nigerians:
Would you consider investing in OMO if the returns are attractive, or would you rather stick with Treasury Bills, fixed deposits and stocks?

🔥 TONY ELUMELU’S $500M SEPLAT INVESTMENT HAS NOW CROSSED $1 BILLION! 💰🇳🇬

Tony Elumelu’s investment vehicle, Heirs Holdings, is sitting on a major paper gain after its investment in Seplat Energy more than doubled in value in less than eight months.

Here’s the breakdown:

📌 December 2025: Heirs Holdings acquired a 20.07% stake in Seplat Energy — about 120.4 million shares — for approximately $500 million.

📈 August 2026: Seplat’s share price surged to about ₦11,200.60 on the Nigerian Exchange, compared with ₦5,809 at the end of 2025.

💰 The value of Elumelu’s stake has now risen to more than $1 billion.

📊 That represents a gain of over $500 million on paper — although the profit remains unrealised unless the shares are sold.

The rise has been supported by Seplat’s stronger financial performance and increased oil production following its acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU).

In H1 2026, Seplat recorded ₦2.50 trillion in revenue, while profit before tax rose 74% to ₦790.4 billion. Production also increased to 139,509 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

💡 The bigger lesson: Big money is not always made by chasing quick gains. Strategic investments in strong businesses, patience and long-term thinking can create enormous wealth.

What do you think? 👇

Is Seplat still a good long-term investment at its current price, or has the stock risen too far too fast?

🎓 NASARAWA GOVT APPROVES ₦36 MILLION FOR VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE GRADUATES

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has approved ₦36 million to support graduates of the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technical Institute in Lafia.

The governor made the announcement on Friday, August 21, 2026, during the institute’s fourth-anniversary celebration and graduation ceremony.

According to Governor Sule, the initiative is aimed at supporting youth employment and practical skills development, with the broader goal of helping young Nigerians become job creators rather than job seekers.

He stressed that while university education remains important, vocational and technical education also provides a pathway to successful careers and businesses.

Skills highlighted include:

🔹 Technology & ICT
🔹 Agriculture
🔹 Construction
🔹 Manufacturing
🔹 Fashion
🔹 Automobile repairs
🔹 Electrical works

💡 The bigger question: Should more Nigerian state governments invest directly in vocational training and provide start-up support for graduates?

In a country where millions of young people are searching for employment, giving people practical skills—and the tools to turn those skills into businesses—could make a major difference.

What do you think? Is ₦36 million enough to make a meaningful impact, or should more states adopt similar programmes?
