WORD OF VICTORY DEVOTIONAL
FRIDAY 3RD OCTOBER, 2025
THE LAMB OF GOD LEV. 16:21; JOHN 5:29
BISHOP MIKE BAMIDELE
In the Old Testament, whenever the children of Israel sinned, the priest will come together and bring a bullock, or a goat, or an animal and confess all their sins upon the particular animal and it will be slain or sent away into the bush, or into the wilderness and by that, all their sins were taken away.
That was what Jesus did for all humanity on the cross of Calvary and you don't need to exempt yourself from the great freedom God has purchased for us. The good news is that you can be free from guilt of sin and your sins can be forgiven and forgotten.
When the Lord Jesus Christ came as the Lamb of God, all the sins of man were laid upon Him and He was taken outside the city to the place of Golgotha and there He was slain for mankind. Have you acknowledged this in your life? Do you recognise that Jesus came to take away your sins? Are you free from the burden, guilt and condemnation of sins ? Do you have hope now and eternally?
If you are not such, today is the day to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and say " Lord, l thank You for your sacrifice for my sins, forgive my sins and cleanse me by the blood of Jesus. I accept You as my Saviour and Lord. Help me to begin to walk with You".
When John the Baptist saw Jesus Christ, made a certain proclamation that reveals to us Jesus purpose on the earth. He said " Behold the Lamb of God who take away the sins of the world (John 5:29). It can be your sins, not just a general sin. You can just come as you are and say: " Lord have mercy on me, l know l am a sinner. I recognise what you have done for me. Therefore, l confess all my sins. Today l accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I believe I am saved.
PRAYER POINTS
