The first arrest took place on October 13, 2025, around 5:00 p.m., after a distress call reported that armed men suspected to be cultists had invaded Kajogbola Area in Iree, attacking residents and injuring a pharmacist.
Police operatives from the Iree Division, alongside the Anti-Cultism Unit, responded swiftly and apprehended five suspects at the scene. Further investigations led to the arrest of four more suspects at a nearby hotel.
A day later, on October 14, members of a vigilante group in Iragbiji intercepted two young men later identified as Oluwasegun Michael and Okupe Boluwatife carrying a locally made pistol and an axe. They confessed to being members of the Eiye confraternity and admitted fleeing Iree following police raids.
In a related operation on October 19, officers raided Akede Area in Oke Baale, Osogbo, where 22-year-old Kilako Ismail Damilare, known as โKiller,โ was arrested with fi****ms, while other suspects escaped.
The police say investigations are ongoing and that all arrested suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the process.

He urged youths and students to shun cult-related activities and focus on their education, emphasising โThe Command will not spare anyone found engaging in cultism or any other criminal act. Say no to cultism.โ ใviralใทalใท
