ONEDAY CONGRATULATES APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, PROFESSOR YILWATDA

Hon. Abolade Nureni Adekunle (OneDay), the Executive Chairman Orolu Local Government, Ifon-Osun, congratulates Hon. Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC).

The emergence of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman was a through consensus rectified by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of All Progressive Congress APC, presided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

Hon. Abolade described Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as a distinguished scholar, experienced leader, academician and public service administrator.

Adekunle lauded nomination of the new national chairman of the APC as a strategic, symbolic and sign of fairness in governance.

Hon. Nureni urged leaders, stakeholders and members of the party to pledge a strong support for the newly elected national chairman of our great party.

His election as the new chairman will braced up equity, fairness to the members of the party laid by his predecessor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Abolade emphasizes.

OVER 150 FARMERS EMPOWERED IN
OSUN WEST THROUGH ILERI-OLUWA / APATA INITIATIVE

IWO, OSUN STATE – JULY 22, 2025
In a bid to strengthen food security and support sustainable agricultural practices, over 150 FARMERS from across the Osun West Senatorial District were empowered today through the ILERI-OLUWA/APATA FARMERS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME. The event, held at the APC SENATORIAL DISTRICT OFFICE IN IWO, provided beneficiaries with modern Agricultural Sprayers and essential agrochemicals inputs aimed at enhancing farm productivity and reducing the cost burden on rural Farmers.

The initiative, implemented by THE APATA CARES FOUNDATION in partnership with the ILERI-OLUWA DEVELOPMENT AGENDA, is part of a broader strategy to promote economic inclusion through agricultural investment. Attended by party stakeholders, community representatives, and development advocates, the programme was widely praised as a timely and practical intervention capable of transforming grassroots agricultural output across the senatorial district.

Delivering his remarks at the event, the sponsor and convener, CHIEF (DR) PETER TAIWO OGUNDEJI (APATA), emphasized that empowering farmers is critical to building a resilient and prosperous society. He reaffirmed his commitment to people-focused initiatives, noting that when farmers are supported with the right tools and resources, the entire community benefits from improved livelihoods and food stability.

We were again delighted to host again today hundreds of women from Orolu local government area of Osun State, who are beneficiaries of this phase of the IleriOluwa Women Empowerment and Micro Finance Programme.

The programme, which is the brainchild of my mentor and boss, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola CON, is geared towards supporting small-scale business owners with grants that will in turn boost their trade.

I am particularly delighted about the success stories recorded from the initiative so far in Osogbo, Irepodun and Olorunda local governments, and I have no doubt that the beneficiaries in Orolu will have good stories to tell.

We are also glad to announce that in no distant time, the train of the empowerment will move to other parts of the state.

I cannot but extend my deepest appreciation to our party elders and leaders, Chief Amitolu Sh*ttu, Hon Kamil Oyedele, Hon. Taofeek Badmus Abolubode, Hon. Benson, Hon. Adelabu, Hon. Keziran Oyeladun, among others, who attended today's event.
