This was exactly how my maternal grandma fell victim to scammers in 2010.

They called her pretending to be someone she knew, gained her trust, and convinced her to reveal her ATM details, including her PIN. They emptied her entire gratuity.

The shock and heartbreak were too much for her. We lost her not long after.

Whenever I see stories like this, I'm reminded that these scams have destroyed real families long before the internet made fraud more sophisticated.

This is so relatable. πŸ˜‚

In 2019, after earning my NCE in English Language/Social Studies, I got a teaching job at a secondary school in Ifo, Ogun State. I taught English from JSS1–3, Government from SS1–3, and Literature-in-English from SS1–3.

That's when I realized how much things had changed. Some children were already in JSS1 at just 7 years old.

Back then, you didn't even start school until you could stretch your hand over your head and touch your ear. By the time I entered JSS1, I was already 15, and I finished secondary school at 21.

Looking back now, it's no surprise the SS3 students of our time looked like full-grown men. πŸ˜‚

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough...

People assume men are the only ones constantly battling s*xual urges.

But if what many women say is true, most ladies from 30 years of age experience intense urges to have s*x and still turn men down.

If that's the case, then women deserve more credit for self-control than people give them.

Ladies, am I lying or saying the quiet part out loud? πŸ‘€

I earn ₦450k every month, yet I still struggle to save.

Breakfast:
Fried Rice and Jollof: ₦2k

Lunch: Ogufe and Fufu: ₦3k

Dinner:
Indomie, Egg, Suya and Pulpy Orange: ₦4.5k

Be honest... am I the problem, or is this just the reality of living in Nigeria today? πŸ‘€
