: Peter Obi "Helps" Atiku Abubakar, Makes The Biggest Mistake Of His Entire National Political Career; A Decision He Will Weep and Regret On The January 16, 2027, Presidential Election Day

The political landscape ahead of the 2027 Presidential election shifted dramatically over the weekend, after a former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, emerged as the Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, and unveiled a former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as his running mate.

Reacting, millions of Nigerians are saying that Peter Obi’s assumption that picking Kwankwaso as his running mate will sway millions of Northern votes in his favour, is one of his greatest mistakes, which he will realise only after woefully losing in the 2027 Presidential election.

Obi has over the years, faced criticism in some Northern quarters, over alleged policies during his tenure as Governor of Anambra State, including claims tied to the forceful repatriation of some Northern residents, in 2011.

Still, the assumption that the addition of Kwankwaso to the ticket will automatically erase entrenched political perceptions about Obi, may prove to be a major miscalculation in the 2027 electoral cycle.

Politics in Northern Nigeria has rarely been determined by endorsements alone. It is shaped by trust, historical alignments, perceived inclusiveness and long-standing political relationships.

While Peter Obi continues to enjoy strong support among urban youths, social media communities and sections of the Southern electorate, significant parts of the North still view him primarily through the lens of his governance record in Anambra State, rather than as a fully embedded national political figure.

This is where His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, enters the conversation with a structural advantage.

Unlike many contemporary political actors whose influence is concentrated in regional blocs, Atiku’s political network has been built across all six geopolitical zones, over more than three decades.

His electoral footprint has consistently demonstrated cross-regional reach, from Adamawa to Sokoto, Kaduna to Kano, Rivers to Delta, and Oyo to Enugu. Even in highly competitive elections, Atiku has maintained a presence across diverse political terrains, reflecting a national network built over time, rather than recent alignment.

More importantly, Atiku is already a familiar political figure across Northern Nigeria. He does not require a running mate to introduce him, nor does he need political translation to establish credibility in the region.

In the end, the 2027 contest may not be decided by arithmetic coalitions alone, but by deeper questions of trust, history and national political acceptance. And on that terrain, Atiku Abubakar continues to occupy a uniquely entrenched position in Nigeria’s opposition politics.

Growing up, we were meant to Understand that PROMISE AND FAIL is a disgraceful thing, that we must think a thing over very well before making that promise to urself or anyone, that respect is earned from keeping to ur words, that making ur word ur bond is integrity.
So when a man stands before a nation, and makes a promise that plays on every citizen's need, telling everyone he will fix that need, shouldn't such a man keep such a PROMISE and keep his INTEGRITY?

Tinubu did not just, not keep his integrity by keeping one promise, him and his team's incompetence has led to other massive societal decays, which u and I already kno, ranging from insecurity to a messed education sector, health, and all wotnots that is currently keeping an average Nigerian on their knees. An unfulfilled major promise, should be a premise not to re run on any seat of Govt.

So to all those who r racking up lame excuses, even from d pit of h€ll to support such magnanimous amount of failure to d pple. Una mean say INTEGRITY is no longer important in society? U r really defending thiiiiisssssss??? These Kpaings need to reach u first? Suffer no dey Taya u? Egbami O 😢.
