There is a special kind of tiredness that comes with being a creative.
You are the idea person, camera person, editor, writer, person looking for clients, person posting, person replying to comments and person promoting yourself. Sometimes, you are even the person encouraging yourself.
I know that feeling. There are days I have to think about my MC work, create content, plan street interviews, teach Yoruba, promote my academy and still find time to live my normal life.
Sometimes I ask myself, “Who sent me?”
But I've learned something, you don't have to do everything perfectly at once.
Think about an 8-year-old child carrying school books. If the books are too many, carrying all of them at once can make the child fall. The smart thing is to carry them little by little.
Creatives need to do the same thing.
You don't have to create ten different types of content every day. Choose what matters. Plan your content. Batch your content when you can. Reuse good ideas. Learn simple editing. Ask for help when you need it and most importantly, rest.
Resting doesn't mean you are lazy. Sometimes your brain needs silence before it can produce another good idea.
I've also learned that building a personal brand isn't about showing people that you are perfect. It's about allowing people to see your journey—the wins, struggles, lessons, embarrassing moments and growth. That is what makes people connect with you.
So if you are currently tired because you are trying to do everything alone, pause. You don't have to finish the whole journey today. Take one step, then another, then another.
Small steps are still movement.
And please remember: the fact that it is difficult doesn't mean you are not capable. It simply means you are building something that matters to you.
Keep going. Your story is still being written. And one day, you'll look back and be grateful you didn't quit.
