If Rashford is undroppable for Carrick, then why not play him as the centre-forward and allow Matheus Cunha to keep his left-wing position?

Cunha has looked more natural and dangerous from the left, while Rashford has enough experience to operate centrally.

Instead of moving Cunha away from his best position just to accommodate Rashford, why not build the attack around both players in their more natural roles?

Sometimes the solution isn’t dropping a player — it’s simply putting the right players in the right positions. 🔴

“It was a NO-BRAINER really [to sign a new contract with Newcastle United].

“I guess whenever you're linked to another team, you know that you're doing something right.

Now that we’ve seen enough from both players this season, who would you start on the left wing between Marcus Rashford or Matheus Cunha?

Rashford has had his moments but was wasteful against Fulham, missing two good chances before being substituted.

Cunha, meanwhile, struggled as a false nine for much of the game but came alive late and scored the equalizer from the left side.

That could be something Carrick needs to think about because Cunha looked more dangerous when he had the freedom to attack from the left.

I’d like to see Carrick try Cunha on the left and give Rashford some competition for that position. 👀❤️
