400 years ago:
- Gold was separated using mercury and manual panning.
- Toxic. Slow. Dangerous.

Today:
- Coconut shell activated carbon is used globally for gold adsorption.
- Safer, reusable, and more efficient.

The principle is the same: separate gold from other materials.
The method changed with technology.

HISTORY CLASS: Nigerians were casting metal when Europe was in the Dark Ages 🔬🇳🇬

In 800 AD, artists in Igbo-Ukwu, Anambra were making bronze pots, beads, and ornaments using "lost wax" casting.

Carbon dating proves it. No foreign teacher.

The metal was 85% copper, 5% tin, 10% lead — perfect alloy mix. European bronze at that time was crude.

These artifacts sit in Nigerian museums today. Older than Benin Bronzes. Older than most European castles.

LESSON: "Africa had no science" is a lie. We had metallurgy, medicine, astronomy before 1000 AD.

QUESTION: Should Igbo-Ukwu be taught in JSS3 history?
