Today marks a month since we tragically lost our dear brother, Mr. Chidera Okedu, fondly known as Nepa Dera. He was taken from us too soon at the hands of the Fulani people. As we remember him today, the 16th of March, we are reminded of the injustice that still prevails in Ama-Ubi. The pain is as fresh as if it happened yesterday, like soap stinging our eyes in water. We continue to seek justice and peace for our beloved brother and for our community. Rest in power, Nepa Dera.

We need justice for our brother. We need to raise our voices and make sure that this does not happen again. We need to stand together and fight for our rights. We need to make sure that our brother's death was not in vain. We need to make sure that his name is not forgotten. We need to make sure that his story is told. We need to make sure that his life mattered. We need justice for Chidera Okedu.
