So this story has been trending for some days now.
The heart-wrenching story of a certain Efe Money and his friend Paul.
Paul is a Calabar boy resident in Delta state, and his friend Efe is a bricklayer.
But friendship brought both persons together, and Paul being the richer of the two, as he’s a well to do business man and owner of one of the biggest boutique around Otokutu area of Delta state — where this vile evil happened.
Efe got wind that Paul was looking for a land to buy, hence being a bricklayer, he informed Paul that he was privy to some very good lands that are up for sale.
He told Paul the price was 30 million and due to trust and long cultivated friendship, Paul gave the money to Efe to help him purchase.
Efe didn’t buy any land, as his claims were false, hence, he diverted the funds and brought back fake documents.
Trouble began to loom when after a while Paul started insisting on going to start construction on the land, and Efe realizing his cover would soon be blown proceeded to a deeper degree of vileness and evil.
He ran to an acquaintance and suggested payment for the murder of Paul; that one told him his price is 1.4 million naira to get the job done, but Efe pleaded that the guy takes 450,000 naira and they reached a faux agreement where the guy collected the money, but didn’t do the crime.
Hence, Efe went looking for someone else.
This time he went to the Otokutu community shrine and lied to the Chief Priest that his friend Paul was owing him, cheated him and every other manner of untruths, and pledged to pay them, even as he suggested that they bury his head in the shrine as sacrifice to the village deity.
This interested the Chief priest and then he put together a group, and had Efe pay them the sum of 680,000 thousand naira for the job.
On the fateless day, Efe deceived Paul into coming with him and he led Paul to the beach, where these killers were waiting, and there they pounced on Paul, numbering more than six, held him motionless and severed his neck.
— A LONG SILENCE.
After they had ‘guillotined’ him, they took the head with them and threw his body in the river.
Went back with his severed head and buried it in the shrine.
Three days later they got news of a floating lifeless body in the river, and thence, sprang to a next action.
They got to the river, recovered the body, tore open the stomach, removed the intestines, and then tied bricks and boulders to the body so have it drown.
Then another degree of evil was machinated.
Efe Money went back to Paul’s family and lied that Paul was kidnapped and ransome was being demanded for his release.
They asked how much ransome was, and he said 7 million naira, the family got the money and sent it.
Four days later he called again that they kidnappers were demanding an extra 10 million naira, the family panickedly gathered same and sent.
Then he came a third time, demanding an extra 10 million naira, and this time the family were only able to raise 9.5 million naira.
He then returned with Paul’s sim and said it was the only thing the kidnappers released.
And it was this point that the family got the police involved.
Efe was arrested and one after the other the Chief priest and a few others, with some of the culprits still aloof (but would soon be rounded up)
When investigation began, guess what?
Efe money was using all the monies he had been collecting to build a duplex.

So tell me how someone can be so dark hearted as to kill a friend in that manner, and then go collecting ransome from the family of the deceased.
Without an ounce of guilt, remorse or sorrow?
Gawd!
“It is not the enemy that scares me, for I know a snake and I know what to expect from it, hence I stay not too close lest it bites me and I don’t bring it home lest it strikes me.
It is those I call friends, those I bring so very close to me and do not know for certain if their hearts are aright with me”
Be mindful brethren, the heart of man is the centre place of many great evils.
