IGBO LEGAL SYSTEM MORE ADVANCED THAN THE ENGLISH SYSTEM - AKAOLISA

The legal luminary and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Imo state, Chief Barr. Cyprian Okechukwu Charles Akaolisa has averred that the Igbo traditional legal system is far more advanced and organized than the English legal system which was imposed on us by the colonialists.
Speaking during the launch of his book titled " Anthology of African Jurisprudence", last weekend, at Concorde hotels, Owerri, Barr. Akaolisa maintained that the Igbo traditional means of getting Justice has been discovered to be more advanced, organized and democratic than that of the English legal system which is very autocratic and undemocratic.
Akaolisa noted that in his book he compiled varied arguments about the subject matter from many Professors of law.
He said, while some were questioning through their books that the African legal system does not exist, others were of the opinions that it existed and even better than that of the white men. According to him, one author stood his ground and wrote that there was nothing like barbaric or evil about the African legal system as opined by the Europeans.
The Attorney General said that what he is doing through his book is to sell our indigenous African legal system to the world and to showcase that the Africans have a proper, well defined legal system that guided their existence before the coming of the white men adding that there inability to study it doesn't mean it never existed. He said African scholars like him knew it was a perfect system of delivering justice and better than the English system.
He gave instance of how the African system worked by saying that you don't punish a man for killing another man by killing him, rather you bannish him to an unknown destination to go and suffer for his sins and never return to his community. Also, if you damage another man's property, if the leaders look into it and found you guilty, you will be ordered to replace what you damaged. Unlike English legal system, more people are involved in taking decision on a particular matter making it democratic and transparent.
He said, African judicial system is better because it encompasses both the democratic and the Justice system, also it begins from arbitration and ends in justice system while the white men system begins with justice system and sometimes involve arbitration. He said the world has started embracing the African system .

Imo Deputy speaker, Iwuanyanwu, impeached amidst jubilation from members

The Imo state House of Assembly deputy speaker, Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu who represents Nwangele LGA has been impeached by 18 Honourable members.

The Honourable members and others who do not want their names mentioned said the former deputy speaker was the cause of the crises rocking the house especially the suspension of the seven Honourable members. But meanwhile the suspension of the honourable members has been lifted and normalcy returned.

The management and staff of the Mouthpiece Newspaper have felicitated with the newest secretary of the People's Democratic party PDP Chief Samuel Anyanwu after the national convention yesterday.

Chief Anyanwu before his emergence was the south East consensus candidate for the position. He was a Senator representing Owerri zone at the red Chambers Abuja.
Anyanwu had in the past displayed examplery leadership both in the Imo state House of Assembly and at the Senate and that has prompted his nomination to be the national secretary of the party.

On behalf of the management and staff of the Mouthpiece Newspapers, Owerri, I Comrade Deacon Austin Okoro hereby congratulate Senator Samuel Anyanwu Samdaddy on his new position as the national secretary of PDP and I wish him well on his new appointment.

Is Nigeria really a giant? I do not understand the basis of that illusion! These days I have stopped using South Africa in my speeches because many told me that it was not a fair comparison. So, I switched to Angola, and no one has explained why Angola budgets $45 billion for 33 million people when Nigeria can only manage $35 billion for 210 million with most of that $35 billion borrowed.

Fellow citizens, Angola is an oil nation. How can we retire all these men who have been running Nigeria since 1999 since whatever they are doing is not working? I mean we are severely underperforming as a nation across major metrics.

It Is Now Very Clear That There Are Plans To Make Imo State And South East Ungovernable By Using These "Faceless" Unknown Gun Men To Destabilize The Sociopolitical, Economic And Human Growth Of The Zone. Personally, I Suspect The Fulani Herdsmen And Bandits On One ✋ Hand, And Assassins Who Are Being Financed By Some Political Operatives In Nigeria.

At This Point, Let Me State It Categorically That No Igbo Man, No Matter How Criminally Minded Can Raise His Gun On Our Traditional Rulers... Yes, Quote Me. No Matter How Insane, Stubborn And Angry, No Igbo Man Would Do That.

With The Gruesome And Mindless Killing Of Our Traditional Rulers In Njaba Local Government Area Of Imo State, I Have Come To Believe More The Revelation Of The Former Deputy Governor Of Central Bank Of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, From Southern Kaduna In Kaduna State, Before He Was Reportedly And Clandestinely Killed Few Weeks Ago, That As 2022 Approaches, The Fulani Bandits And BokoHaram Insurgents Would Take Their Killings To South East And Other Communities In The South, Killing Our Prominent People. According To Dr Obadiah, These Killings Are Grand Prelude To A Well Orchestrated Plot To Their Large Scale Killings And Civil War That Would Be Declared In 2022. As Soon As Dr Obadiah Mailafia Exposed The Evil Plot, He Was Subsequently Arrested And Detained. Although He Was Later Released, He Died Through Unexplainable Circumstance Months Later.

The agitation for NIGERIA Presidency of South East extraction has become a burning National issues that cannot be ignored by well meaning Nigerians.

This is pertinent considering the overdue neglect and marginalization of the Igbos in key Political Positions since the country's Independence to the extent that Igbos now doubt their true sense of belonging to the United Nigeria. A country that operates on the mantra --- " UNITY IN DIVERSITY"

As Political events unfold towards achieving equitable leadership representative and sustainable development plans for our dear country, there's need for considerable agreement in the nation's Political permutations that will usher a commensurate advantage to the Igbos to emerge the position of number one citizen of the country as we have in the past Supported other regions. This is a Mandate that we are going to pursue with every single vigor and every solidarity at our disposal.

In 2023, NIGERIA Political space will witness the greatest Political tsunami ever in the history, and by the special grace of God this will usher the a paradigm shift in the country's Governance.

This is evident in the recent zoning of party Chairmanship Position of PDP to the north, which invariably means that power will return to the south affiliated region and the ruling APC Congress are expected to follow suit. And South East stands the best favourable chance to grab the position when micro-zoned.

The Sunchi Farms limited, an agro processing business based in Enugu state has been honoured with Integrity award from the Poultry Association of Nigeria PAN, Imo state chapter for their performances and quality Services.
The award which was bestowed on the company during the recently concluded World Egg day / Poultry Conference 2021 at the Pastorial Centre Wetheral road, Owerri was received by Sales representative of Sunchi , Mr Raymond Ezemmaduka with great joy.
Mr Ezemmaduka in his speech thanked the Poultry farmers for the award. He said , Sunchi Farms limited deals with Day Old Chicks production which are builder farmers and hatcheries. "Other products include poultry feeds, catfish/ fingerlings, poultry equipments, Soya oil, processed chicken."
Ezemmaduka said his company was chosen for the award because of the quality of their products sold to customers, their Integrity and ability to touch lives positively. " The award is a great honour to the company and to encourage us to do more for the people".
He said poultry farmers honoured them mostly because of the quality of Day old chicks production which the association purchases regularly from the company.
Prof Abimbola Uzoma, a lecturer in Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO while presenting the award to Sunchi commended for their good works and enjoined them to do more for the people.
Other awardees included Ichie Sunday Ephraim Ezeobiora, Dr James Wageti, Mr Uchegbu Chijioke N, Dr Emmanuel Ohajinwa amongst others.
