This is what a family requested from their in-laws to marry their daughter in Agwu, Enugu🤔

This is the reason is so easy for woodmen to |eave marriages because they didn’t spend anything during this process.

And marriages don’t last these days🤔

Imagine wives asking their husbands how much did you pay as bride price during misunderstanding. (They’ll return only 20 naira if the marriage is dissolved)

As we speak now, many guys are saving money to do this and some even borrow just to satisfy their in-laws😂

While some men prefer to give the gir| belle and start paying small small.

"Become a presidential candidate first before challenging me for a debate"

Peter Obi replies dav Umahi on debate

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has dismissed the challenge by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to engage him in a public debate.

Responding to the minister's remarks, Peter Obi said Dave Umahi must first become a presidential candidate before inviting him to a debate, arguing that they are not on the same political level.

🟢 "If David Umahi wants to debate with me, inviting me as a presidential candidate, he has to go and become a presidential candidate first. You cannot be playing division one and you are inviting a Premier League team for a match."

Peter said.

Obi's response comes after Umahi publicly challenged him to a debate over governance and infrastructure, insisting that he did better as a governor than Peter Obi and he is qualified to engage Peter Obi at any time.

As a Nigerian citizen, what is one thing you have personally benefited from the Nigerian government?

I believe many people have seen the trending podcast where Super Eagles captain Moses Simon claimed that Enugu Rangers refused to sign him because he is not Igbo.

If you watch the interview carefully, you'll notice that he never said anyone at Rangers told him he was rejected because of his ethnicity. Instead, he simply assumed that was the reason. For someone of his status, a professional footballer and captain of the Nigerian national team, that is a disappointing conclusion to draw without evidence. It is even more worrying that many people have accepted the claim as fact.

Before I address the Rangers squad of the 2013/2014 season, let's remember that football trials work the same way all over the world.

Pedri had a trial at Real Madrid but was not signed. Today, he is one of Barcelona's biggest stars.

Kylian Mbappé also had a trial at Chelsea, yet the club didn't sign him.

Players are rejected during trials every single day, not because they are from a particular tribe or nationality, but because clubs have specific qualities they are looking for at that moment.

Two goalkeepers can attend the same trial, and only one gets selected. It doesn't automatically mean the other goalkeeper isn't talented. The chosen one may simply fit the coach's style better, perhaps because of his ball distribution, communication, or ability to organize the defense.

In Moses Simon's case, nobody publicly told him that he wasn't selected because he is not Igbo. That appears to be his personal assumption. Such a sensitive claim should not come from the captain of the Super Eagles, especially in a country like Nigeria, where tribal tensions already exist.

Professional athletes are role models. Their words carry weight and can easily influence public opinion. That is why they must be careful before making statements that could deepen ethnic divisions.

More importantly, the facts do not support the claim.

The Rangers squad of the 2013/2014 season included players from different ethnic backgrounds: a Ghanaian, four Northern players, four Yoruba players, one Urhobo player, and one Ibibio player. Even Itodo Ikor, who is from the Idoma ethnic group, the same ethnic background as Moses Simon, was signed by Rangers during that same period.

These facts clearly show that Rangers were not exclusively signing Igbo players.

Instead of accepting that he may simply not have met the club's requirements at the time, Moses Simon chose to attribute the decision to tribalism without presenting any evidence.

As captain of the Super Eagles, he should know better. His comments have the potential to create unnecessary division and cast unfair accusations against a club with a long history of signing players from different parts of Nigeria and beyond.

For that reason, Moses Simon should publicly apologise to Enugu Rangers for the statement.

🚨 Breaking News 😳💔

Popular TikToker Peller says he's done speaking on issues in society after spending 4 days in police detention.

According to him, the same fans who were cheering him on during his TikTok Live disappeared when he was locked up.

«"When I was arguing with the police on TikTok Live, everybody was supporting me. But when I got arrested and was eating watery beans in detention, nobody came for me. I will never involve myself in anything in this society again."»

Peller was arrested after he was reportedly stopped while driving an SUV without a number plate. After spending days in detention, he was granted bail.

His statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with many sympathizing with him while others say everyone should obey the law, influencer or not.

"I bought houses for all my family members so they will never be homeless." — Jay-Jay Okocha

Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has revealed how he chose to support his family after achieving success in football.

Speaking on the LongForm Podcast, Okocha said he made it a priority to secure his relatives' future by buying them houses, paying their children's school fees, and providing startup capital to help them build businesses.

According to him:

"I bought houses for my family so they'll never be homeless. I pay their children's school fees and even give them startup capital to start businesses. If they fail after that, it's none of my business. I have suffered enough, and I can't keep suffering.

"I bought houses for them, so they don't have to pay rent. If you already have a home and a business I helped you start, why can't you manage it and provide for your family? If you can't do that, what else do you expect from me? At least, I've made sure they can never be homeless."
