I survived what' is meant to end me😭😭
“When the Night Felt Endless”
The rain was falling hard the night chidinma thought she could not go on anymore.
Her small room was quiet except for the sound of water hitting the broken roof. Chidinma sat on the edge of her bed, holding her face in her hands. Life had been too heavy for too long. Dreams she once carried with pride now felt like stones in her heart.
She remembered the days when everything seemed possible. She laughed easily, believed deeply, and trusted that tomorrow would always bring something good. But life had tested her again and again. Loss, disappointment, rejection, and silent tears that no one ever saw.
There were nights she cried so much that sleep became the only escape.
People saw her walking outside with a smile, but they never saw the battles she fought inside. The fear of failing. The pain of feeling alone. The weight of trying to stay strong when everything inside her felt broken.
One evening, while sitting outside watching the sun slowly disappear, she whispered to herself,
"Maybe I’m not strong enough for this life."
But something inside her refused to die.
It was quiet, almost like a whisper in her soul saying,
"You have survived every bad day so far. Why stop now?"
Chidinma began to understand something powerful. Strength is not the absence of pain. Strength is standing up even when your legs are shaking. Strength is wiping your tears and still choosing to believe that life can get better.
Every scar in her heart became a reminder that she was still alive. Every hardship she survived became proof that she was stronger than she thought.
Slowly, she began to rise again. Not because life suddenly became easy, but because she refused to let her pain define her story.
And one day she realized something beautiful:
The same storms that tried to break her had actually built her.
Now when people ask her how she became so strong, she simply smiles and says,
"I didn’t become strong because life was kind to me. I became strong because life was hard… and I chose not to give up."
Because sometimes the strongest people are the ones who cried the most in the dark, but still found the courage to stand in the light again. 🌅💔➡️❤️
