Every Child Is Unique

​After school one afternoon, a mother stood with her daughter, Ada, and pointed toward another student. "Look at your mate always coming first," she said, her voice laced with disappointment. "Why can't you be like her?"
​Ada quietly lowered her head, fighting back tears as the laughter of other children echoed outside. The heavy words settled into her heart, casting a long shadow over the rest of her day.
​Later that night, the house grew quiet, but the emotional weight remained. Walking past her daughter's room, the mother paused as she heard the faint sound of crying. She listened closely and heard Ada sobbing, whispering to herself, "No matter what I do, I'm never enough."
​The words struck the mother deeply, breaking her heart as she realized the pain her comparison had caused. Flooded with emotion, she rushed into the room, wrapped her arms tightly around Ada, and apologized through her own tears. Every child is unique—they should be encouraged, not compared.
