It's deja vu all over again for bitcoin bulls as Monday's rally to an all-time high triggered not FOMO, but instead fast retreat. That retreat sped up in a big way in late-morning U.S. action on Friday after trade war tensions between the U.S. and China ratcheted higher.
U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post minutes ago that he's preparing a "massive increase" in tariffs on Chinese goods in response to China earlier imposing export controls on rare earth metals.
Following the post, bitcoin BTC$111,480.33 plunged below $119,000 from $122,000. Ether ETH$4,005.03, solana SOL$201.48 and XRP each joined in the swift decline.
The drop in crypto prices also weighed on stocks tied to the sector. Circle (CRCL) fell over 6%. Robinhood (HOOD), which gets a large portion of its trading activity from crypto, declined 5%.

Coinbase (COIN) also shed 5%, while MicroStrategy (MSTR) slipped about 3%.
The news rippled across traditional markets, too. WTI crude oil dropped nearly 4% below $60, its weakest price since early May. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were 1.6% and 1.3% lower, respectively.
Gold? It rallied more than 1% to back over $4,000 per ounce as the yellow metal once again showed itself, not bitcoin, to be the risk-off asset of choice for investors.
At the current $118,800, bitcoin is lower by about 2% over the past 24 hours and about 6% since hitting a new record above $126,000 just four days ago.

The treasury strategy targeting Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoins continues at a rapid pace. Major companies from around the world are making large purchases of various altcoins, including XRP, Solana, and BNB, in addition to BTC and ETH, with the latest news coming from China.
Nasdaq-listed Chinese electric vehicle charging infrastructure company Jiuzi Holdings made a $1 billion crypto move.
Accordingly, Jiuzi Holdings approved its $1 billion crypto investment policy by giving the green light to the transfer of cash reserves to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
The company announced in a statement that its board of directors has officially approved the 'Crypto Asset Investment Policy', which allows for the investment of up to $1 billion in cash reserves in cryptocurrencies.
China-based Jiuzi Holdings has initially limited its crypto purchases to $1 billion, which will be allocated from its cash reserves.
In addition, the company initially decided to invest in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Binance Coin (BNB), while new cryptocurrencies may be added to these later.
“We do not engage in short-term trading or speculation; instead, we view crypto assets as long-term stores of value to hedge against macroeconomic uncertainties,” Dr. Buerger, newly appointed chief operating officer at the company, said in a statement.

To be honest, if I had known that the cryptocurrency market was this "risky", I probably wouldn't have jumped in headfirst back then —
But now I can rely on trading cryptocurrencies to supplement my household expenses, and even occasionally make some extra money, all thanks to the countless lessons learned from falling down multiple times.
In the first two years, I chased a certain leading coin and lost half a year's salary in just one day; I also tried holding onto a stagnant coin and waiting, only to miss several opportunities for it to double... So the words I share today are not some theories from big shots; they are all lessons learned from my own hard-earned money. If you want to stay in the cryptocurrency market for the long term, or even rely on it to support your family, I suggest you take note of each point.
Don't panic when strong coins correct. As long as it's a leading coin in the sector, if it drops for 8 or 9 consecutive days, it often represents a good buying opportunity. Don't be scared off by short-term declines.
Remember to take profits after two consecutive days of gains. Regardless of the coin, if it has risen for two consecutive days, it's time to reduce your position and secure your profits. Don't keep fantasizing that it will continue to rise; greed can easily lead to losses.
Don't rush to sell after a daily increase of over 7%. After a big rise on the same day, there is a high probability that there will be further upward space the next day. Observe for one day first, and don't leave too early and miss out on profits.
Wait for corrections to buy big coins. When you encounter a strong coin with good momentum, don't blindly chase the price. Wait until it finishes correcting; that's the real "golden opportunity".
Change coins when they have been stagnant for too long. If a coin has been inactive for three consecutive days, you might as well give it three more days for observation. If there are still no signs of a breakout, decisively switch coins; don't waste time.

Her name is Heather Morgan, but the world knew her as “Razzlekhan,” the “Bitcoin rapper” and part of the couple nicknamed the Bonnie & Clyde of crypto.
📅 It all began in August 2016, when hackers stole 119,754 Bitcoin from the Bitfinex exchange. At that time, they were worth 71 million dollars… but over time that figure exploded to more than 4.5 billion.
The responsible parties turned out to be Heather and her husband Ilya Lichtenstein, who for years laundered that money using thousands of fake accounts, crypto mixers, gold purchases, NFTs, and all kinds of sophisticated techniques.
But what turned Heather into a viral phenomenon was not just the crime… but her double life.
👩‍🎤 Businesswoman, columnist at Forbes, and at the same time, an eccentric rapper on YouTube and TikTok under the name Razzlekhan.
With titles like “Versace Bedouin” and delirious phrases like “I am the entrepreneurial crocodile,” their videos went viral after their arrest in 2022.
The blend of cringe, extravagance, and million-dollar theft made her a global meme.
⚖️ In February 2022, the couple was arrested in New York. The FBI managed to recover about 3,600 million in Bitcoin, the largest financial seizure in U.S. history.
