Now we are December everybody wants to sell online.

But nobody wants to spend on ads.
The truth remains that your friends and family who view you WhatsApp on daily basis are not your customers.

They may buy once in a while but wont buy always.

Always seek for new customers using advertisement.

Here on social media, when we see about 5k and above followers we start thinking of what to sell.

You assume that when you make a post all of them will see it and probably you make sales.

But thats not how Facebook works.

Let me tell you a little about Facebook algorithm

Facebook shows your post to a little percentage of your friends.
On the days of your celebration (anniversary, birthday, graduation post, etc) it will show it to a more number of your friends thats why you see more reactions anytime you make such related posts.

But if you make post about a product you are selling, Facebook AI will identify the post as commercial and show it to a less number of people. (This is primarily to frustrate you so that you can run ads for such post)

Thats why you see lesser reactions on posts about business or product you want to sell.

Out of the little percentage that saw your post, many of them are not interested in what you are offering.

Not that your product is bad or unaffordable but its not what they want and may not align with their interest at that point in time.

Statistically, it takes 100 impressions before one person takes action on your adverts.

How many impressions does your post get per day in order for you to get actions.

Remember this action may be to just click on the link you posted or engage in your post. And not primarily to buy.

If you want to start reaching out to more people, Facebook wants you to create a business page and run ads.

If you run ads with just 1k per day, your post can reach up to 4k people in 24hrs.

Now you will have higher chances of making sales if you have a good adcopy, image and good targeting.

Tired vendor
One of the challenges of selling a physical product online in Nigeria is most online buyers wants pay on delivery.

If they don't see what they're buying, they wont pay.

As a seller if you don't have a system of delivery that can offer pay on delivery, all your marketing efforts will be a waste of time and (money).

The internet is a global village, you don't know where your next customer is residing.

You may have thousands of followers on Facebook that you will be tempted to market one product or the other to.

The truth is can you offer them pay on delivery? If you can't, you will find it difficult to make sales.

As a beginner they may not trust you by first sending you money for you to deliver to them.

Those who are supposed to trust you are afraid because they may have encountered online scam one day.

So what do you do?
Build a system that can help you accept pay on delivery anywhere your customers are or you start marketing to people you can handle pay on delivery to in your state or locality.

A young man got admitted into the university to study law.

He admires his neighbour who is a lawyer and how he manages to win every argument. So he want others to admire him also.

First year into his program, he meet a lady studying accounting and they became friends, one day they got into an argument at the school cafeteria. The lady was able to prove to him that not all businesses makes net profit, some end up with only gross profit.

He became thrilled,

In the second year, he starts attending accounting classes.

While at it, a software developer held a seminar in the school and showed them how much he makes in a month, almost times ten of their school professors' salary.

He jumped to computer science classes, that's the fourth year.

So after four years, what did this young man study?

Just as stupid as his story sounds, the same way most of us learn.

You heard of affiliate marketing, you jumped on it,

You heard of graphic design, you abandoned affiliate and start learning graphic design,

Did you hear of drop shipping? You get interested and give it a trial.

Crypto comes onboard, you jump into it.

Forex, public speaking, e-commerce, mini importation

You have tried all of them.

You will end up being like the young man described above.

Focus and consistency most be found in a venture before it can yield results.

When you learn in an uncoordinated way, your head will be jammed with too much information, only coordinated learning yields results.

That's why schools have syllabus, they don't just start teaching you without a step-by-step process.

Focus on one thing and be consistent with it over time.

What are you learning currently, stay on it and give it the required energy, time and resources?

Don't be moved by other people's results, let their results motivate you to keep on your track.

The danger of mediocrity is this
You can still be within the "F" grade but because their are people you are better than you will think you are doing well.

A student who failed an exam doesn't need to score zero for him to fail.

Just that he didn't score enough to pass to the cut off point needed to pass.

In life and everything you desire, there's a cut off point of knowledge.

You dont just gain knowledge the way you want.

You gain knowledge to the decree that is needed to get to the cut off point of what you desire to achieve

1. You want to be loved and that is great. But know that people love those who love themselves. People will respond to your energy according to what you display. If you feel worthy, they will feel that you are worth too.
