You see why it's quite difficult for a man to make it in this life. It's as if all odds are against him. As a young man, know it that no one is coming to save you. No matter how many times you fall, pick yourself up and continue. No one really cares about your successes, so your motivation should shift from trying to please the society to striving to liberate yourself from poverty and failures.

There are too emotional states one should be very cautious of their words. High emotional intelligence demands that you say little in any of these to states.

The first is when you're extremely happy. Lack of control of emotions often lead people to make unreasonable and unrealistic promises when they're in an ecstatic state of mind. Be careful not to make silly promises whenever you're happy because you will make yourself a liar if eventually you're not able to fulfill it.

People with high emotional intelligence understands the importance of paying keen attention to people's words when they're angry and enraged. This is because most people divulge their hidden grievances and secret plans when enraged. Some people, in a bit to feed their ego and prove the level of wrath the can potentially cause, they make threats they know they lack the capacity to execute. This in most cases turns back to hunt them and the excuse is always "... I said it out of anger... ".

It is therefore important that you express your dissatisfaction with your head and not your heart; this way, you're able to guard your mouth from saying things you shouldn't.
