😠 Craig Burley has gone all-in on Virgil van Dijk, calling the Liverpool captain a “coward” and blasting his performances this season.

🗣️ “He does everything wrong — bad passes, doesn’t close down, turns his back like a coward. I’m tired of hearing excuses about Salah, Wirtz, Isak or the midfield.”

Burley didn’t stop there:

🗣️ “Van Dijk is supposed to be the leader, but all season he’s thrown teammates under the bus and made as many mistakes as anyone. Every game you watch him and wonder, ‘what’s he doing?’”

💪 Alexander Isak believes Liverpool’s season is far from over — and he’s backing the “new-look attack” to explode in the second half of the campaign.

The Swedish striker says settling in has been smooth, and the chemistry up front is starting to take shape.

🗣️ “It’s been good and easy to settle in. You work on it every chance you get… just training with each other, you build connections and it’s getting better. Yeah, it’s starting to click — that’s my feeling.”

He didn’t stop there. Isak believes the whole squad still has another level to hit:

🗣️ “We need to find form as a team and everyone has to play a part in that. There’s still a long time left, so there’s a lot to achieve.”

🤩 Virgil van Dijk was full of praise after Liverpool’s win over West Ham — and the big man sounded like a proud father doing roll call.

He hailed Joe Gomez for a rock-solid performance and showed big love to Florian Wirtz, who played like he’s been a Liverpool player since childhood.

🗣️ “Gomez was outstanding. It’s great to see him back, and great to see Flo back too. Players need time, but today he showed his quality on and off the ball.”

Van Dijk also celebrated Alexander Isak’s first Premier League goal for the club:

🗣️ “Hopefully it boosts his confidence. We need him at his best. I’ve seen that finishing before… sadly against me.”
