Gospel of the Day
Luke 10,1-9

The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this household.'
If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them, 'The kingdom of God is at hand for you.'"

St. Carlo Acutis: The Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist

St. Carlo Acutis stands as a radiant example of holiness in the digital age—a Millennial Saint who used technology not for vanity or distraction, but as a powerful tool to spread faith. Born in 1991 in London and raised in Milan, Carlo lived an ordinary life in an extraordinary way. His passion for the Holy Eucharist, his compassion toward others, and his deep devotion to God transformed his short fifteen years into a legacy that continues to inspire millions today.

A Saint for the Digital Generation

Carlo was known as the “Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist.” While many of his peers used the internet for entertainment, he used it to evangelize. His greatest project was designing a website that documented Eucharistic miracles around the world—a digital testimony to Christ’s Real Presence. Long before the term “digital evangelization” became common, Carlo embodied it, believing that “the Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”

Faith, Friendship, and Simplicity

Behind the screen, Carlo lived with profound simplicity. He attended daily Mass, prayed the Rosary, and sought to serve others with love. He was particularly sensitive to those who suffered—standing up for bullied classmates and sharing his meals with the poor. His kindness was not limited to words; it was lived through small, consistent acts of mercy.

A Gamer and a Believer

Carlo enjoyed video games, especially Pokémon, showing that sanctity is not about rejecting the modern world but transforming it with faith. He proved that holiness is possible in every lifestyle, every culture, and every generation. His life bridges the gap between devotion and daily life, reminding us that technology can be a pathway to truth if used with purity of heart.

A Brief Life, an Eternal Impact

At fifteen, Carlo was diagnosed with a fast-spreading leukemia. Though his illness was painful, he offered his suffering for the Church and for the Pope. He once said, “I’m happy to die because I’ve lived my life without wasting even a minute doing things that wouldn’t please God.” He passed away in 2006, but his legacy continues to bring people closer to the Eucharist.

Inspiration for Our Times

St. Carlo Acutis teaches that sainthood is not reserved for a select few but is a calling for everyone—even those surrounded by screens, social media, and technology. His message is clear: holiness is possible when we live every moment for God and use our gifts—digital or otherwise—to spread His love.

“To be always united with Jesus, this is my plan for life.” — St. Carlo Acutis

May his life remind us that the true “highway to heaven” is found not in fame or success, but in faith, love, and the Eucharist.

Please, Pray the Rosary!
October: The Month of the Holy Rosary

The Rosary is one of the most beautiful and powerful prayers of the Catholic faith. It is a spiritual weapon, a crown of roses offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a meditative journey through the life of Christ. Every “Hail Mary” whispered with faith and love builds a bridge between heaven and earth — a dialogue between the soul and its Mother.

The month of October holds special significance in the life of the Church. It is dedicated entirely to the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, inviting the faithful to rediscover this ancient devotion that has inspired saints, comforted the suffering, and strengthened believers through the ages. The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, celebrated on October 7, commemorates the great naval victory at the Battle of Lepanto (1571) — a triumph attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Mother through the Rosary prayed across Christendom.

Each mystery of the Rosary — Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous — is a window into the heart of the Gospel. As we meditate on these sacred events, we walk alongside Jesus and Mary, contemplating the humility of the Incarnation, the sorrow of Calvary, and the glory of the Resurrection. The Rosary unites the faithful in a rhythm of peace, reflection, and love, offering strength in trials and serenity in the storms of life.

In a world burdened by conflict, anxiety, and distraction, the Rosary calls us back to stillness. It reminds us that prayer is not an escape, but a power — one that transforms hearts, families, and nations. Every bead we hold is a reminder of faith’s endurance and Mary’s maternal care for her children.

This October, let the simple yet profound invitation echo in your heart:
“Please, pray the Rosary!”

Take time each day to hold the beads, to reflect on the mysteries, and to entrust your hopes and sorrows to Mary’s gentle intercession. For when we pray the Rosary, heaven listens, peace descends, and grace flows into our lives and into the world.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 11:15-26)

At that time: [When Jesus had cast out a demon,] some of the people said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons”; while others, to test him, sought from him a sign from heaven. But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and house falls upon house. And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace; but when one stronger than he assails him and overcomes him, he takes away his armour in which he trusted, and divides his spoil. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest; and finding none he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”

The Gospel of the Lord.
