Hope Uzodinma is a Nigerian politician and the two‑term Governor of Imo State, first sworn in January 2020 after a Supreme Court ruling and re‑elected in 2023. Born 12 Dec 1958 in Omuma, Imo, he has served in various political roles, including as a senator before becoming governor.

As governor, Uzodinma has focused on infrastructure and economic transformation — rebuilding key roads, strengthening healthcare, and revitalizing education institutions like K.O. Mbadiwe University. His administration launched digital skills and youth empowerment programs, boosting opportunities for thousands of young people, and rolled out policies to drive fiscal reforms and growth.

Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha (born 22 September 1962) is a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur and philanthropist from Imo State. Rising from modest roots, he built a successful career in business before entering public service. Okorocha served as the 5th Governor of Imo State (2011–2019) and later represented the state as Senator for Imo West.

As governor, he championed free education from primary to tertiary level, built hundreds of schools and ICT centres, and introduced innovative community governance and youth empowerment programs. He also backed infrastructure growth and institutional reforms that reshaped Imo State’s landscape.

He is the founder of the Rochas Foundation, a major philanthropic initiative providing free education, scholarships and support to thousands of underprivileged children across Nigeria and Africa, including the Rochas Foundation College of Africa.

Okorocha’s leadership has earned him national and international awards for service and humanitarian impact.

Prof. Viola Adaku Onwuliri is a distinguished Nigerian professor of Biochemistry, respected scientist, educationist, and public servant.
