Why We Declared Public Holiday To Celebrate Buhari’s Return – Kogi State Governor

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has defended his move to declare a public holiday in celebration of the president, Muhammadu Buhari’s return to the
country after over 100 days abroad.

The state governor who has come under heavy criticism for the move defended his decision through the director general, media and publicity to the governor,
Kingsley Fanwo.

Kingsley Fanwo in a statement released on behalf of the state governor noted that the public holiday was declared to celebrate the African icon, Muhammadu
Buhari.

The added: “The public holiday was declared to celebrate an African icon, President Muhammadu Buhari, who went on a medical trip abroad and came back in
good health.

“The holiday was to enable the people of Kogi State to celebrate the grace of God in bringing Mr. President back alive. It also afforded the people of
the state the opportunity to pray and fast for the progress of Nigeria and for Mr. President to keep waxing stronger for the task ahead.

“It is unfortunate that those condemning it choose to take Panadol for our headache. They should join us to celebrate the Lion of Africa and stop politicising
an act of patriotism on the part of the governor.

“God forbids, if Mr. President had died, many states would have declared many days of mourning. But Kogi only declared one day to thank God for saving
our President’s life. Are some people angry that Mr. President is back, hale and hearty to continue to fight corruption?”

On Wicked Presidential Rats

Pius Adesanmi wrote 👇 👇 👇

Nigeria, I have always maintained, is one of the most unjust, most unfair societies in the world. Even the rats and rodents yonder are as class conscious
as their human kith and kin. They practice Orwell: all rats and rodents are equal but some are more equal than others. These wicked one percenters among
the rats and rodents do not care about the 99%.

In a country where all the human sufferheads take out their frustration on rats and rodents, from Abakaliki to Zungeru via Lagos, manufacturing every manner
of rat poison which they sell in traffic to decimate the rat and rodent population, some one percenter rats and rodents have quietly created a world of
wealth and privilege for themselves all these months in the President's office in the Villa without the knowledge of their animal kind.

Like their privileged human counterparts in the Villa, these stupid rats and rodents have shut out the rest of their kind whose rights are violated daily
all over the country by angry Nigerians. The only thing Nigerians know how to do effectively is use rat poison in every corner of the house. Have you ever
heard a complaint from the privileged rats and rodents chilling in the President's office? Have they ever cared about the ratocide visited daily on ordinary
rats and rodents by Nigerians via rat poison?

How is a rat struggling to escape rat poison in Isanlu supposed to feel now with this latest surprising news that it has relatives in the President's office
that have never cared about it?

Ise eeyan n'ise eranko o.

The presidential rats are as wicked and uncaring as the presidential people...

Buhari cancels FEC meeting, to receive SGF’s probe report

The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday will not hold today.

Today would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for
the first time in over three months.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold.
Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting.

But he said Buhari would today receive the report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government
of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke.

The statement read, “The meeting of the Federal Executive Council will not hold today.

“President Muhammadu Buhari, will however, receive the Report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke, headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo,
at 12 noon, in his office.”

Buhari has been operating from an office in his residence since Monday while the Presidency claimed that his main office had been destroyed by rodents
and needed to be renovated.

The President had on April 19 suspended Lawal and Oke and constituted a three-man committee led by Osinbajo to investigate them.

The panel investigated allegations of violations of law and due process made against Lawal in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative
on the North East while it probed Oke on the discovery of large amounts of foreign and local currencies by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
in a residential apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, for which NIA is laying claim.

The committee which had the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN); and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, as members
was billed to submit its report to Buhari on May 8 but could not do so because the President left the country on May 7 for medical follow-up in London

Buhari the strength to continue to manage the affairs of the country.

In a related development, a group known as Support Popular View group has also commended the Rivers State Governor for demonstrating uncommon patriotism

Nnamdi KANU on Biafra Secret Service BSS:

He said: “I will not do anything that will bring dishonour to my people. There is no reason for people to be afraid of the internal operation of IPOB.

"We want to stop the menace of Fulani herdsmen in our land. In the north, they have the Hisbah police, they have the Sharia police. They even have the
Janjaweed police. Here, we have nothing.

"We need to protect this very land. We want to protect the Fulani men from rustling.

"The police have done nothing. Fulani herdsmen are operating everywhere.

President Buhari spoke; he never mentioned the menace of Fulani herdsmen. His interest was Biafra agitation. It doesn’t work for me. I am a Biafran”
