Time has taught me that not everyone who honours me when they see me really has honour in mind. This is the hypocrisy we now call honour in Church. All big sounding words and high singing gibberish might just be to push you into a pit.
Walk in wisdom especially with those in the household of faith.

One litmus test for all of us is this.

Will you be able to say what you said before the person concerned?
Or
Do you ever want the person to find out you said what you said?
Or
Will your reaction be different if you were close to the person?

I taught on the psychology of men and women during the just concluded MWPC, a deep understanding of both psychologies will help people scale through the limitations they could have encountered.

I have always taught God's people that "life is not fair". You'd treat people well and get wickedness in return. You'd do the right thing or say the truth and still be hated for it.

There must be this doggedness. The stamina to remain true even when everything seems to want to remould you.

The doggedness to stay in the truth. The fortitude to continue and not give up. Because every manifestations you are looking for can be gotten without compromise. Without losing the purity of your heart.

I have decided to finish the race without losing the purity of my heart. Strength is more than just being able contest, it is also being able to stand without bending.

I used to ask myself why a man would decide to walk through "the valley of the shadow of earth" With all the space on earth...
Then I realised that as humans one of our biggest skilli s getting ourselves into trouble. we sometimes walk in paths that we know can destroy us because we are frail, it is that very thing that can kill that interests us.

This is why we are required to deny 'self' in our pursuit of God.

Knowing that what we are about to do is wrong (or sin) is not necessarily a strong reason to not indulge in it. We sometimes listen around, tuning our ears until we hear the voice that echoes the thoughts of our heart. Not that those thoughts are from God or we don't know that those thoughts are wrong.

The heart of man is desperately wanting vanity and unstoppable wantonness. He just wants to be free without restraint or caution. Unknown to him, true freedom comes with boundaries.

But our true safety and strength is from the acknowledging of the presence of another. We easily behave the best when we are the centre of focus. We put on our best attires and behaviours in the presence of those whose recognition and approval we crave.

This then is the solution; "for thou hath with me". Therefore, realising that the one whose approval settles all is watching will save us from this wretched sinful craving. Remember God is watching.

Whether the craving is towards lustful desires or untamed appetite or an uncontrolled worry... We ought to remember that the solution is the same; "for thou hath with me".

God is with me!

(Part 2)

Do you know that you can reprogram your mind?

What we find interesting, funny, how we see events or treat people is based on how we think. What we call humble or proud is just about perspective. I have seen a poor man trying to talk to a beautiful lady and he is accused of sexual harassment. But a rich guy clearly using sexual slurs called flirty. Same actions different interpretations... The interpretations are based on mental programming.

The issue again is that your mind controls you more than you control it. It is your mind, yet it controls you. It decides for you more than you decide for yourself.
For example, have you ever said something rashly before trying to withdraw your words? Well, you would say "sorry I did not think about what I said". But it is actually not true. You thought about it just not consciously. That reaction you gave us your default mental settings, it will play out until you change it.

This is why God is God, He knows your words and weights your thoughts.

And that is why during the MWPC I would be teaching in this regard, I hope your mind does not block you from reading this or block you from attending.

The word of God and prayers are more than just tools for receiving material things, they were developed by God to cut deeper into our very fabric and remake us.

A person can be successful academically, even rich but has a poor thinking capability. But we normally assume that once a person is successful in one thing then he has infallible wisdom.

We interpret wealth, academic excellence and fame as ultimate proof of Wisdom...
But have you heard of lecturers sleeping with students? Or of professors beating their wives?
Or a wealthy man who is sexual predator? Or a famous person who says things that do not justify their acclaimed intelligence?
