Breaking: Bandits Raid Bokungi Village, Kidnap Four Rice Farmers in Edu LGA.

Armed bandits launched a bold assault on farmers in Bokungi village, Edu Local Government Area, abducting four people this evening amid rising insecurity in the area.

The attack happened between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM, while the farmers were tending their rice fields during harvest time.

Nupekotv verified the incident through a local resident who described the terrifying events.

The source said the victims were collecting their harvested rice when the bandits hit. They targeted two groups:

First, two farmers packing rice were taken.
Moments later, two more from a nearby plot were seized.
Altogether, four captives in the swift strike.

Panic grips Bokungi now, ending the harvest on a tragic note for the families. It shows how exposed rural Kwara farmers are—key to the state's food supply but easy prey for criminals.

Victim names aren't out yet, and Kwara Police or local officials haven't commented on the attack or any operations.
