YOUR BREAKTHROUGH WON’T LOCATE YOU IN IDLENESS
The guy who usually attends to me at a restaurant told me a few days ago that he would soon be resigning.
I asked why.
He smiled and said, “Oga, I’ve been working here just to save money to start my fashion design business.”
Then he brought out his phone and showed me samples of the clothes he makes. Pure talent. I was impressed.
This young man dropped his degree certificate at home, took a waiter’s job, and started saving for his dream.
He didn’t sit at home praying for miracle alerts or waiting for destiny helpers.
I loved that spirit.
So, I asked him how much he had saved. He told me.
I doubled it for him.
Because when you see someone who is genuinely trying, you will feel moved to help them.
Listen, I have said it here many times. Your breakthrough won’t meet you where you are idle. It will meet you where you are working, sweating, and pushing yourself.
For people to truly help you, they must first see that you are already helping yourself. I’m tellinh you what I tell my family members too.
I once hawked bar soaps and flip-flops across the streets of Zaki-Biam.
I drove Keke in Abakaliki, a place I was once known as a big boy.
I sold Okrika at Ajah Bus Stop.
There was no shame in survival and I can do all of these again if that’s what life demands.
Put your pride aside. Drop your “fine girl” and “big boy” mindset and start doing something.
Nobody respects potential. The world only honors results and efforts.
