When I took the Nigerian Head Coach job I already knew Alex from watching him on television. I saw him at Fulham and with Nigeria. For me, he has a very special football brain. His understanding of the game is very, very high and that is rare.

Some players only want to run and fight. Alex can do that for one or two hours if you ask him, but he is happiest when he plays with other smart footballers. He smells the game. He feels the right pass, the right space. I am proud of what he has done, what he does now and what he will do.

On my way to the top, I met many coaches who did not believe in me. Some said I was not strong enough. Some said I did not have speed. Some wanted me to play in a way that did not fit my style or my body.

If I listened to all those voices, I would have stopped playing. But I chose to listen to my own heart. I told myself that I was good and that I could make it. I carried that word believe inside me every day like food.

When you think positive and work hard, it pushes you forward even when people try to pull you back. I passed through local leagues and national teams with this mindset. The lesson is simple. Do not let anyone else decide your value for you.

Gov Umahi to establish ruga across 13 LGA in ebonyi state.

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has promised to map out some portions of land at the different local government areas of the state which would serve as cattle grazing fields for Fulani herdsmen.
Governor Umahi, who made the promise on Tuesday in Abakaliki during a State Security Council meeting, also urged the security agencies in the state to disarm any herdsman that is in possession of dangerous weapons.
The governor further stated that the grazing fields will be in such a way that the herdsmen would feed their cattle in areas where there are no farmlands, noting that he would consult with local governments in the state to arrange grazing fields and also make such known to the herdsmen.
Governor Umahi also reaffirmed his administration's committment to ensure a cordial relationship between Fulani herds and host communities in the state ; as he warned traditional rulers and their communities not to take laws into their hands by attacking herdsmen in the state.
He however debunked rumours that some herdsmen are planning to attack some communities in the state.
