Vlog Summary: Lagos Games Week

Lagos Games Week was honestly a great experience for us at Gameverse Africa.

From meeting developers, creators, studios, and industry leaders to having conversations about the future of games in Africa, the week was filled with learning, networking, and a lot of inspiration.

We also had the opportunity to showcase what we do at Gameverse Africa, including our studio arm, Six Path Studio, and Edenn, our talent and discovery platform that helps creatives, talents, and studios get discovered and connect with opportunities.

One thing that really stood out to us was the support from our community members who travelled from different cities to Lagos just to be part of the conference. Seeing people make that commitment to learn, connect, and grow within the industry was special and a reminder that the gaming ecosystem in Nigeria is growing.

We had conversations around game development, education, community building, and how we can continue creating opportunities for people, especially in underserved regions.

Every event like this reminds us that we’re still early, but we’re moving in the right direction. There’s still a lot of work to do, but it’s exciting to see more people becoming part of the journey.

Thank you to everyone we met, connected with, and learned from during Lagos Games Week. On to the next one.
