I posted this artist @(PH Nomza) and his music on my wall, and the reactions got me thinking.

Some people questioned why I would support this kind of music. Others reminded me about the image of the record label. One person even called to say the artist is talented, but wished someone would convince him to sing gospel music instead.

This raises an important question:

Have we reached a point where every good singer is expected to sing only about God before their talent can be appreciated?

Don’t get me wrong—gospel music is beautiful and impactful. But must every artist become a gospel artist to be considered worthy of support?

If a song doesn’t promote violence, immorality, hate, or harmful behavior, and its lyrics are clean, meaningful, and inspiring, what exactly is the problem?

Music can tell stories, express emotions, celebrate life, teach lessons, encourage hard work, promote love, and reflect human experiences. Not every positive message has to be wrapped in a gospel song.

We often complain about artists producing bad content, yet when someone creates decent music with clean lyrics and a positive message, some still condemn it simply because it isn’t explicitly about God.

Should an artist be judged by the quality and message of their music, or solely by whether they sing gospel?

I’d really like to hear your thoughts on this. 🎶🤔
