Insigithful!

Many people think you need a degree or formal qualifications to earn a decent income in Nigeria, but that’s not true. If you’re willing to put in the effort and not see any work as beneath you, there are plenty of simple, executable businesses that can generate at least ₦10,000 daily. These ideas are practical, relatable, and achievable with minimal startup costs.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

1. Small chops/snacks/plantain chips can be sold in offices, schools or neighborhoods.
2. Beverage vending: sell chilled drinks, smoothies, or natural juices in busy areas.
3. Local food delivery: cook and deliver meals to workers, students, or busy households.
4. Suya or roasted corn stand – evening snacks sell fast in high-traffic areas.
5. Small bakery: bake and sell bread, buns, or cupcakes locally. The bread market in Nigeria will never be saturated, for those of us in Lagos, we can see what Boku has done in less than how many years since they launched

SERVICES:
6. Laundry/Ironing service: offer to busy workers or students.
7. Car wash, mobile or stationary, often high demand in residential and commercial areas. A guy comes to wash cars in our Estate; he comes 3 times a week. From my family alone, we pay him N4K per wash for 2 cars, that's 12K weekly & he does for at least 15 residents of the Estate. He is making N102,000 average weekly from this.
8. Freelance writing or typing – for blogs, CVs, or school assignments.
9. Errand runner / delivery service: deliver parcels, groceries, or meals.
10. House cleaning / janitorial service: daily or weekly contracts.

ONLINE & DIGITAL

11. Social media marketing: You can learn a simple task of helping people to set up Facebook ads that convert, and you'd make a lot of money to help small businesses grow online.
12. Graphic design – Even though we have several Apps that provide templates, the market is still there for people who want authenticity- Brands are conscious of infringement on intellectual properties of other companies like their logos.
13. Tutoring online or offline: school subjects, skills, or exam prep.
14. Create or resell digital products: e-books, courses, or templates via WhatsApp/Instagram.
15. Short video editing service: TikTok, Instagram reels, or YouTube clips.

TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

16. Parcel or food delivery for restaurants, shops, or individuals.
17. Mini-van transport (danfo or shuttle) , short routes in busy areas.
18. Bike courier service: deliver parcels or documents.
19. Errand running service: pick up/drop off items for busy clients.

HOME & PROPERTY SERVICE

20. Pest control services
21. Lawn mowing / gardening services
22. Fence painting or small-scale property painting
23. Handyman services (minor repairs)
24. Pressure washing for driveways and walls
25. Furniture polishing / restoration

BONUS:
26. Curtain or blinds installation and sales
27. Small-scale carpentry (tables, chairs, shelves)
28. Home organization / decluttering services

Our Growth Journey

African FoodHub & Errands began in February 2022 with one mission: to reconnect households and African diaspora communities with authentic, high-quality African foods they can trust.
We started and offically launced in May 2025 with a single product pure, organic palm oil — and grew through word-of-mouth, building a loyal base of repeat customers, partnering with reliable suppliers, and earning a reputation for quality, sustainability, and cultural authenticity.

Our Digital Footprint

We engage a vibrant food-loving community on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp, where we share African culinary traditions, cooking tips, and customer stories. Live cooking demos, giveaways, and polls not only attract new customers but also make our social media pages a direct sales and customer service hub.

Registered and Ready

African FoodHub & Errands is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). We maintain detailed records of sales, expenses, inventory, and customer data — ensuring transparency, accountability, and readiness to scale.

Why Òpùrùichè™ Palm Oil Matters

In many homes, palm oil is no longer the natural, healthy product it once was. Adulterated versions with harmful additives are common affecting both taste and health.
Òpùrùichè™ Palm Oil is different: 100% organic, free from harmful chemicals, rich in nutrients, and crafted to protect your family’s health.

Our goal is to make Òpùrùichè™ a trusted household name synonymous with quality and pride in African food. With targeted marketing, branded export-ready packaging, and tasting campaigns, we will turn awareness into loyal customers and resellers.

Funding Request – ₦500,000

We are at a critical growth point: demand is rising locally and among the African diaspora, but without the right tools, systems, and packaging, we risk losing customers to inconsistency and spoilage.

Here’s how we’ll turn ₦500,000 into measurable results:

> ₦100,000 – Bottling containers & sealing machine
Speeds up packaging, ensures airtight sealing, extends shelf-life — every bottle arrives fresh and safe.

> ₦70,000 – Export licenses & certification
Unlocks access to international markets and guarantees compliance with strict quality standards, boosting trust with diaspora buyers.

> ₦80,000 – Branded packaging (labels, bottles, seals)
Gives us a premium, supermarket-ready look that appeals to both local and export markets.

> ₦50,000 – Targeted digital marketing campaigns
A 3-month ad campaign to reach high-value local customers and diaspora communities actively searching for authentic African food products.

> ₦200,000 – Working capital buffer
Let's buy raw materials in bulk directly from farmers, ensuring we never run out of stock during peak demand.

Impact of the Funding

With this grant, we will:

*Triple our processing capacity to meet growing orders.
*Cut post-harvest losses by over 40%, protecting farmer livelihoods.
*Strengthen brand perception in both retail and export markets.
*Create jobs for women in sourcing, packaging, and distribution.

By scaling Òpùrùichè™, we keep Nigerian food wealth in Nigerian hands, grow farmer incomes, and give consumers locally and abroad a healthier, trustworthy choice.

As part of our commitment to supporting business owners and entrepreneurs, GrowthGia is giving out a whopping 5 million naira to 10 businesses!
