Many people think you need a degree or formal qualifications to earn a decent income in Nigeria, but that’s not true. If you’re willing to put in the effort and not see any work as beneath you, there are plenty of simple, executable businesses that can generate at least ₦10,000 daily. These ideas are practical, relatable, and achievable with minimal startup costs.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
1. Small chops/snacks/plantain chips can be sold in offices, schools or neighborhoods.
2. Beverage vending: sell chilled drinks, smoothies, or natural juices in busy areas.
3. Local food delivery: cook and deliver meals to workers, students, or busy households.
4. Suya or roasted corn stand – evening snacks sell fast in high-traffic areas.
5. Small bakery: bake and sell bread, buns, or cupcakes locally. The bread market in Nigeria will never be saturated, for those of us in Lagos, we can see what Boku has done in less than how many years since they launched

6. Laundry/Ironing service: offer to busy workers or students.
7. Car wash, mobile or stationary, often high demand in residential and commercial areas. A guy comes to wash cars in our Estate; he comes 3 times a week. From my family alone, we pay him N4K per wash for 2 cars, that's 12K weekly & he does for at least 15 residents of the Estate. He is making N102,000 average weekly from this.
8. Freelance writing or typing – for blogs, CVs, or school assignments.
9. Errand runner / delivery service: deliver parcels, groceries, or meals.
10. House cleaning / janitorial service: daily or weekly contracts.

11. Social media marketing: You can learn a simple task of helping people to set up Facebook ads that convert, and you'd make a lot of money to help small businesses grow online.
12. Graphic design – Even though we have several Apps that provide templates, the market is still there for people who want authenticity- Brands are conscious of infringement on intellectual properties of other companies like their logos.
13. Tutoring online or offline: school subjects, skills, or exam prep.
14. Create or resell digital products: e-books, courses, or templates via WhatsApp/Instagram.
15. Short video editing service: TikTok, Instagram reels, or YouTube clips.
TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS
16. Parcel or food delivery for restaurants, shops, or individuals.
17. Mini-van transport (danfo or shuttle) , short routes in busy areas.
18. Bike courier service: deliver parcels or documents.
