GROUP DEMANDS IJAW GOVERNOR/ OGONI DEPUTY

A social Political Group known as Ijaw Wari is rooting for a Riverine Governor and Ogoni deputy come 2023

Ijaw Wari in it’s recent press conference in Port Harcourt said it will be unfair if the upland continues to rule Rivers State after being in power for three consecutive tenures

Director General of the Group, Somina Wokoma noted that it is time for power rotation in Rivers State, failure of which may cause tension among the different ethnic groups in the state.

Ijaw Wari enjoined Rivers politicians across all parties divided not to forget the age long upland Riverine dichotomy which had been the formula for electing Rivers Governors.

The group also appealed to the Ogonis to join the clamor for Riverine Ijaw governorship promising that the Ijaws will in turn support Ogoni aspiration in time to come.

Our correspondent reports that Ijaw Warri at the end of the press conference came up with a 4 point communique.
