🇺🇸SENATE SLASHES $9B IN FOREIGN AID & PBS FUNDING - TRUMP RESCISSIONS PACKAGE CLEARS

In a 51–48 vote, the Senate passed Trump’s bill to cut $9 billion in spending - mostly targeting foreign aid and public broadcasting.

GOP Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski broke ranks to oppose the bill.

The package axes $8B from foreign programs like USAID and $1B from NPR and PBS.

With a Friday deadline looming, the House must now sign off - or the money gets spent anyway.

There were times I've had just =N=1,000.00 to feed myself and I've also had =N=50,000.00 to eat out and spoil myself a bit.

I’ve had a house full of food and I’ve also had an empty house. I’ve been in stores cashing out with no worries and I’ve also had to add it up and put things back on the shelf.

I’ve paid my bills in full and I’ve had to pay it late too. I’ve given money to people and I too have had to ask for it. We all have highs and lows in life, some certainly more than others, but we’re all just trying to make it. No one is better than anyone else, and my heart is sad for those who think that they are.

No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how much money sits in your bank account - we all bleed red and will fade from this earth. Death has no discrimination neither should your life.

The people who pretend they love you so much will leave you standing in all the storms just so they can shine. Be kind to others. We are all here to serve. Stop the ego-tripping. Your over-sized ego wont get you anywhere. Furthermore, not everyone has the same heart as you.

BREAKING NEWS: Starting tomorrow June 8, 2025, the cost of obtaining driver’s licenses and number plates in Nigeria will increase following a new price structure approved by the Joint Tax Board (JTB).

Driver’s license for motor vehicles will now cost ₦15,000 for three years and ₦21,000 for five years. For tricycle operators, the license will cost ₦7,000 and ₦11,000 for the same durations.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has called for enhanced security measures in Delta State to address rising challenges, worsened by an influx of undesirable elements from neighbouring states, particularly across the Niger. He announced plans to deploy advanced technology to improve crime detection and response.

The Governor, also urged Local Government Chairmen, as chief security officers, to hold regular, timely security meetings and keep him informed directly or through the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs.
