Story Story;

Long ago in the Persian Empire, there was a beautiful Jewish woman named Esther. She had been raised by her cousin, Mordecai, after her parents died. When Queen Vashti was removed, Esther was chosen to become the new queen. However, she kept her Jewish identity a secret, as Mordecai had advised her.

Meanwhile, a powerful official named Haman became angry because Mordecai refused to bow to him. Filled with hatred, Haman convinced the king to issue a decree ordering the destruction of all the Jewish people throughout the empire.

When Mordecai learned about the evil plan, he urged Esther to use her position as queen to save her people. Esther knew that approaching the king without being invited could mean death. Yet she responded with great faith and courage after seeking the face of God 🙏

“If I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16)

Before she went to the king, Esther asked all the Jews to fast and pray for three days, God gave her favor, and the king welcomed her instead of condemning her.

Esther invited the king and Haman to two banquets. At the second banquet, she bravely revealed that she was Jewish and exposed Haman’s plot to destroy her people. The king was furious. Haman was punished, and a new decree was issued allowing the Jews to defend themselves.

The Jewish people were saved, and their victory is remembered each year during the Feast of Purim.

Lessons from Esther’s Story

* God can use ordinary people for extraordinary purposes.
* Courage means doing what is right even when it is dangerous.
* Prayer and fasting prepare us for difficult situations.
* God is always at work
* Your position and influence can be used to bless and protect others.

Story story

Title: The Woman at the Well

Bible Reference: John 4:1–42

Jesus was traveling through Samaria when He stopped to rest at Jacob’s well around noon. While His disciples went into town to buy food, a Samaritan woman came to draw water.

Jesus asked her for a drink. Surprised, the woman asked why a Jewish man would speak to a Samaritan woman, since Jews and Samaritans did not associate with one another.

Jesus told her that if she knew who He was, she would ask Him for “living water,” which gives eternal life. The woman misunderstood at first, thinking He was talking about ordinary water.

Jesus then revealed that He knew about her past—she had been married five times and was living with a man who was not her husband. Amazed that Jesus knew this without being told, she realized He was a prophet.

Their conversation turned to worship. Jesus explained that true worship is not about a specific location, but about worshiping “in spirit and in truth.”

The woman said she was waiting for the Messiah. Jesus then declared to her:

“I who speak to you ,am He.” (John 4:26)

Filled with excitement, the woman left her water jar, hurried back to her town, and told everyone about Jesus, saying:

“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” (John 4:29)

Many people came to see Jesus because of her testimony. After listening to Him for themselves, many believed and proclaimed that Jesus is truly the Savior of the world.

Lesson: Jesus offers salvation to everyone, regardless of their past, and true satisfaction is found only in Him.

The Story

After hearing the sad news about John the Baptist, Jesus went to a quiet place to be alone. But when the crowds heard where He was, they followed Him on foot.

Instead of sending them away, Jesus welcomed them with compassion. He taught them about God’s Kingdom and healed those who were sick.

As evening approached, the disciples became concerned because the people had nothing to eat. They urged Jesus to send the crowd away to buy food.

Jesus replied, “You give them something to eat.”

The disciples found only five loaves of bread and two fish, brought by a young boy. It seemed impossible to feed such a large crowd with so little.

Jesus told everyone to sit down on the grass. He took the loaves and fish, looked up to heaven, gave thanks, broke the bread, and handed it to His disciples to distribute.

Miraculously, everyone ate until they were full. About 5,000 men, plus many women and children, were fed.

When the meal was over, the disciples collected the leftovers, filling twelve baskets with pieces of bread.

The people were amazed at Jesus’ miracle and recognized His divine power.

Lessons from the Story

* God can do great things with what seems small.
* Jesus cares about both our spiritual and physical needs.
* Faith means trusting God even when circumstances look impossible.
* Gratitude comes before the miracle—Jesus gave thanks before the food multiplied.
* God’s provision is abundant; He gives more than enough.

Moral of the Story:
When you place what you have in Jesus’ hands, He can multiply it to bless many people. No gift is too small when God is involved.

The Story of Jonah and the Great Fish
Text: Jonah 1-4

“What would you do if God gave you an assignment… and you ran away? One man did—and ended up inside a giant fish!”

Story Story

Jonah was a prophet chosen by God. One day, God told him to go to the wicked city of Nineveh and warn the people to turn away from their sins because judgment was coming.

But Jonah didn’t want to go. Instead of obeying God, he boarded a ship sailing in the opposite direction, hoping to escape from God’s presence.

While the ship was at sea, God sent a powerful storm. The waves became so fierce that the sailors feared they would die. They prayed to their own gods and threw cargo overboard to lighten the ship.

Meanwhile, Jonah was asleep below deck. The sailors woke him and cast lots to discover who was responsible for the storm. The lot fell on Jonah.

Jonah admitted he was running away from God. He told the sailors, “Throw me into the sea, and the storm will stop.”

The sailors were reluctant, but when the storm grew worse, they threw Jonah overboard. Immediately, the sea became calm.

Then God sent a great fish to swallow Jonah. Jonah stayed inside the fish for three days and three nights. There, he prayed, confessed his disobedience, thanked God for His mercy, and promised to obey Him.

God heard Jonah’s prayer and commanded the fish to spit him out onto dry land.

God gave Jonah the same assignment again: “Go to Nineveh.”

This time, Jonah obeyed. He preached God’s message, and to everyone’s surprise, the people of Nineveh—from the king to the common people—repented. They fasted, wore sackcloth, and turned away from their evil ways.

Seeing their sincere repentance, God showed mercy and did not destroy the city.

Jonah became upset because he wanted Nineveh to be punished. God then used a plant that grew and later withered to teach Jonah that God’s compassion extends to all people, even those we may think don’t deserve it.

1. You can never run away from God.
2. Obedience is always better than disobedience.
3. God gives second chances to those who repent.
4. True repentance brings God’s mercy.
5. God’s love and compassion are for everyone.
