We, at Great Hidden Treasures Christian Schools, are committed to providing Christ-centred, high-quality education that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of our students. Blessings, beloved of God in Christ Jesus. I pray that God will continue to make all grace abound to you and make you fit for His Kingdom.
Brethren, it's with a heavy heart and burdened spirit that I write to you. This is about the challenges facing my family and the Great Hidden Treasures Christian Schools. At the moment, we have no funds to pay salaries for the last SEMESTER and come the 26th of April, the third Semester activities will begin, and we also have no funds to do the necessary things.
Our Ministry engagements are stalked and construction activities are suspended due to the lack of sponsorship. I have written several times updating and introducing the mission schools and other activities to my Brethren in Christ who live in the USA but I have not met anyone willing to partner with me..
This work started with the generous support of Christian brothers, sisters and local congregations in 2018. Since the inception of GHTCS I, my team and I have been prudent and conscientious in the use of the meagre resources. A lot of spiritual, moral, social and academic impacts have been done to justify the confidence reposed in us and the finances sent.
It's very striking how some congregations withdrew from the works we are doing together without a word and when they know what setbacks such withdrawals will cause the ministry.
Beloved, supporting GHTCS is a wonderful opportunity to tap into. The modalities are very simple and financial contributions are also very achievable. The ministry can thrive when 30 individuals commit to $50,$100, and $25 every month. There are also quarterly financial opportunities available for those who cannot do monthly support. There's an endowment fund, memorial fund and estate giving opportunities to talented Brethren who are poised to dramatically and outstandingly impact the lives of our students, empowering them with talents and skills, equipping them to become compassionate, passionate and creative with the gospel of Christ.
My people, I can't approach the denominational world to be of support to the Great ministry of Christ entrusted into our hands. My appeal is sincerely directed to you who are of the same faith as me. Do not abandon me to fate. We have 25 staff in the schools and an administrative team of 6. These adult stewards need to have their physical needs met to enable them to continue with their services. We have 15 preachers who work in the field sowing the seed of the kingdom. They and their families need to be cared for.
One of the most challenging situations is the renewal of my rent by March. At the moment, we don't have the $4000 needed to pay and secure the apartment for another 1-year occupation. And if by the end of March, we can't pay for the apartment, it will be taken away from us. Directing the schools will become more difficult for me and my family.
I want to appeal to everyone who is going to read this and is capable of giving help to do some. We can provide reports of everything as needed by supporting congregations and individuals.

About the Work
Great Hidden Treasure Christian Schools is a faith-based project that provides Christian education for school-age children located in Rivers State, Nigeria.

HTCS seeks to provide activities to assist the well-rounded development of each student; A development similar to Jesus' development in Luke 2:52; “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.”​



​Due to continued support throughout the brotherhood, Brother Uchenna has been able to purchase and build the school's very own property and buildings and provide a fully staffed educational environment for the children in Rivers State, Nigeria.

​The campus is continually being improved upon in order to provide the best educational services possible as well as fulfilling any local and federal government requirements that are required to maintain the Hidden Treasure Schools' accreditation.

GREAT HIDDEN TREASURE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY RESUMPTION UPDATE, 22ND APRIL, 2024.

Dear supporters of Great Hidden Treasure Christian Schools,

We are delighted to share with you an exciting update regarding the resumption of classes at our school. We greatly value your support and want to keep you informed about the latest developments.

After a temporary closure due to the holidays, we are pleased to announce that Great Hidden Treasure Christian Schools will be reopening on April 22. This date marks an important milestone in our journey and we are looking forward to resuming our mission of providing a quality Christian education to our students.

During the closure, we have been working diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, parents, and staff. Our dedicated team has implemented rigorous health and safety measures that align with government guidelines to create a secure and conducive learning environment. We have also prayed and fasted for the continuing growth of our community.

Nigeria New political administration, a Great distress and instrument of hardship to the poor Nigerians .
Did you know that, the removal of what they describe as subsidy on Petroleum products has grounded many families and households?
To the extent that, Our Mission schools van is grounded and cannot ply the roads to bring our kids to school because of the high cost of gas.
Many families are going through horrible hunger season and many children have started withdrawing from school.
Great partners; we will be spending about, $100 pdollars weekly to purchasing gas for one week and for a semester, we willneed $1,200. This amount is not joke and our staff salaries have been highly affected. To be able to pay our staff living wage that is stipulated at, $150 per month, we would be needing, $5000 per month which adds up to, $15,000 per semester.
Other expenses including, feeding of the orphans, medical expenses, construction and maintenance costs will also add up to $10,000 per semester and given a Semester grand total of $26,200.

Great Hidden Treasures Christian ministry, Update; 13/04/2023.
Greetings from all of us at, Great Hidden Treasures Christian ministry.
It's essentially adequate for me to use this opportunity and space to express my heart to all of our great supporters and team partners for the marvellous commitment and unflinching support you have continued to give to us and the ministry. It's because you are here that we are able to keep flying the airspace of Christian education and gospel preaching and humanitarian services.
You have done greatly and I appreciate your commitment. The Lord knows what impact you are making in this part of the globe. Lives are touched in amazing ways.
Brethren, 11 days from today, our Mission schools will reopen for the third Semester activities. The Easter break has afforded us opportunity to get some rest and receive strength to continue to serve our lord. It's very obvious that things are very difficult globally and moreso in low income countries like Nigeria. The schools are growing and pupils and students are learning life and preparing for their full participation in the world after these levels of education. Our staff members are very dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to the school population as well. The story of our achievements cannot be overemphasised by anyone.

FUNDING:
Since the beginning of this year, we have being battling with poor funding unlike the previous years. The cost of operating our schools and other ministry activities have not been achieved at all. The Semester budget is at, $40,000 and since the year, we have only gotten $10,500. This exposed us to huge debt during the last Semester and till now, we are not able to settle the debt burden. When we reopen on the 24th of this month, there will be basically no funds to carry on with the activities because we we have as stated, will be used to settle last Semester debts and there will be reasonable amounts that will not be cleared up.

REQUEST:
As pertinent as it always is, we are looking up to your Holy Spirit motivated donations and gifts of Charity, of memorial, of, inheritance, of tax returns etc to continue to provide the well defined services to our community. Your support is pivotal and indeed the bedrock of this ministry. When people of God who acknowledge His generousity and benevolence give to any cause, it causes earthbreaking and mighty impacts on both the receivers givers.
Help us raise the funds needed for this third Semester activities. It will be dangerous to close the doors of Great Hidden Treasures Christian ministry because of lack of funding.

MY HOPE:
My hope is that one day , Great Hidden Treasures Christian Schools will become, self-supporting and our resources will be able to meet up with our needs. Because of the undeveloped nature of the area where the schools are located, we have this financial support burden. When, in the future, the economic situation changes, this financial support appeals will be reduced.
