I get these questions a lot....
"How did you become so good at sales"
"How do you know what works when it comes to building sales systems for other people"
And I just read and laugh π..
Because my story and my journey is quite an interesting one.
I never really went to a sales academy although,
I have taken quite a number of courses on sales,
But that isn't the highlight today.
Selling?
I have lived every bit of it.
Starting from when I sold various things in school ( Groundnut, boiled eggs e.t.c) to survive.
I have hawked perfumes from door to door.( I got some of my biggest experiences from here).
I have worked as a sales girl in a baby shop and I understood first hand, what negotiating with a customer and retaining a customer is all about.
I have worked in a shoe shop, convincing customers to pick a shoe they didn't really need.
( This phase taught me what lack of systems and structure can cost your business).
I thought it was just for survival but I didn't know I was prepping myself for a career I'm walking in now..
Because,
πThat was when I learnt how to study people.
π That was when I learnt that sales isn't about scripts.
You must study and understand humans in their various categories.
Now, I help brands , founders and coaches build systems that convert simply because,
I have walked that path in different scenarios and market and I understand what works.
Now,

Your hustles and early struggles?.. Cherish them with every lesson and experience that it comes with.
Because that's your edge.
The algorithm won't teach you that.
No webinar will teach you the experiences you will gain from those hustles,
So treasure them.
You might need them in no sooner time.
