I have known President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu since 1998. I know the man’s mind, his courage, and his conviction. He is not driven by applause, he is driven by results. And today, I can boldly say to you that he is on the right track.

For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a President who truly understands finance, who sees the economy not as a political slogan, but as a living organism that must be disciplined, deregulated, and allowed to breathe.

The painful reforms we face today are the very foundation of tomorrow’s prosperity. We are moving into a free-market economy, one that rewards hard work and innovation instead of dependency and distortion.

Look around you: under this administration, the appointment of the National Security Adviser has redefined our national safety architecture. Insecurity is being quietly and systematically dismantled. The Central Bank, now professionally steered, is stabilizing the economy, rebuilding confidence, and restoring the dignity of the naira.

Our foreign policy is again respected. Our fuel supply is deregulated. We will never again live through the humiliation of fuel scarcity. The numbers are beginning to speak, investments are returning, and the world is watching Nigeria rise again.

And beyond economics, Bola Tinubu’s infrastructural drive is unprecedented; from massive road networks to modernized ports, airports and housing schemes springing up across the nation. These developments are not just concrete and steel; they are the arteries through which growth and opportunity now flow.

I know it is still a difficult season for many families. But as history teaches, reform is never painless. Yet, it is in these moments of sacrifice that nations are reborn.

That is why today, I am joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), not for politics, but for progress. Because I believe that Bola Tinubu’s leadership, guided by courage and intellect, will deliver the Nigeria we have all dreamed of.

Mark my words: in the full term of eight years, Nigeria will witness phenomenal growth. I choose to stand with that vision. I choose to stand with reform. I choose to stand with the future.

Thank you, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

– Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.

NIGERIAN ARMY CONDEMNS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE FOLLOWING TRAGIC DEATH OF ITS OFFICER

The Nigerian Army 2 Brigade is deeply saddened and unequivocally condemns the tragic death of Lieutenant Samson Haruna, the Regimental Medical Officer of 6 Battalion, who succumbed to severe burns inflicted in a domestic incident between his wife, Mrs Retyit Obadiah Dalong Samson Haruna, at their residence in Wellington Bassey Barracks, Ibagwa, Akwa Ibom State, on 22 September 2025.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the tragic incident occurred after a heated argument between the couple, reportedly stemming from family crisis, which escalated when Mrs Haruna allegedly set ablaze properties in the house and the officer was caught by the inferno. Doctor Haruna sustained severe burns, but was initially stabilized at the Battalion Medical Facility, and later transferred to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital for further treatment, where he unfortunately passed away early hours of Tuesday 7 October 2025.

The Nigerian Army strongly condemns this act of domestic violence, recognizing the imperative of peaceful coexistence and respect within families. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Lieutenant Haruna.

The Nigerian Army will continue to advocate for healthy relationships, addressing domestic violence, and fostering a culture of respect and dialogue within families and communities.

The Nigerian Army is calling for all parties to remain calm while awaiting outcome of military police investigation.

06/10/2025

Governor Alex Otti Of Abia State has responded to recent comments made by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, describing them as “baseless and misleading,” and an attempt to distort facts about the ongoing transformation in the state under Governor Alex C. Otti, OFR.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, the government said it was unfortunate that a lawmaker of Kalu’s stature could “display such an embarrassing level of economic and financial ignorance” in his recent public remarks comparing Governor Otti’s performance with that of his predecessors.

According to the statement, Kalu’s claim that the Abia government receives ₦38 billion monthly from the Federation Account is “false and deliberately misleading.” The government clarified that the state’s total Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) receipts for the first eight months of 2025, including allocations to Local Governments, stood at ₦125 billion — a far cry from the figures quoted by the Deputy Speaker.

Ekeoma explained that since Governor Otti assumed office, his administration has operated with transparency, accountability, and prudence despite the economic realities facing the country. He further stated that the drastic fall in the value of the naira — from ₦460 to the dollar in April 2023 to about ₦1,500 in 2025 — has significantly affected the real value of funds available to states.

“For someone in Kalu’s position, it is disappointing to ignore basic economic facts. A project that cost ₦1 billion in 2022 now costs nearly ₦4 billion today due to currency devaluation and inflation,” Ekeoma said.

The statement also highlighted key achievements under the Otti administration, including the increase in the state’s minimum wage from ₦30,000 to between ₦70,000 and ₦74,000, as well as the expansion of the verified state workforce from about 31,000 to over 67,000 employees — excluding more than 5,000 newly recruited teachers.

Ekeoma accused Kalu of keeping silent when “injustice and neglect” were meted out to Abia workers under previous administrations, suggesting that his sudden criticism of Otti was driven by political ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.

The statement further questioned why Kalu avoided mentioning the administration of his “former boss and benefactor,” Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, when comparing Otti with ex-Governors T.A. Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu.

“It is ironic that Kalu finds his voice only now. He should know that leadership is about service, not showmanship,” Ekeoma added.

Concluding, the Abia Government urged the Deputy Speaker to focus on his legislative responsibilities and to seek proper understanding of governance and fiscal realities before making public statements.

“The crowd that welcomed Governor Otti and President Tinubu’s representative in Aba were not rented. They are everyday Abians who have seen a new direction in leadership,” Ekeoma stated.

He advised Kalu to “relax, take a cold drink, and wait for campaign time,” insisting that the present administration remains focused on delivering good governance to the people of Abia State.

🚨BREAKING NEWS : Breaking News: Fresh Crisis Brews as Wike Loyalists and Elders Clash Over Key Appointments in Rivers State

Information reaching us alleges that a crucial closed-door meeting was held last night in Port Harcourt between some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and a group of elder statesmen all said to be loyalists of former Governor Nyesom Wike.

The meeting, which reportedly stretched late into the night, was centered on the growing disagreement over who should be appointed as Chief of Staff, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and those to make the new commissioners list.

Sources at the meeting disclosed that tension erupted when the issue of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s proposed nominees was raised.

The elders and lawmakers loyal to Wike allegedly rejected most of the names being projected by Fubara, including the likes of Oko Jumbo, Ichemati, Ambassador Chijioke, Danagogo, and others. They argued that since Wike remains the undisputed political leader of Rivers State, only his trusted loyalists should occupy key positions in the state government.

One of the elders at the meeting was quoted as saying that allowing Fubara’s camp to dominate sensitive offices could “destabilize the existing peace and political balance” in the state. They allegedly insisted that, to maintain stability, the governor must cut ties with some of his close allies and reconcile fully with the Wike camp.

However, a few of the elder statesmen reportedly spoke in defense of Governor Fubara, arguing that as the sitting governor, he deserves the constitutional right to choose his own team without interference. They urged both sides to prioritize the unity and development of Rivers State above personal loyalty or political sentiment.

Meanwhile, insiders revealed that Wike himself is said to have distanced his personal opinion from the dispute, maintaining that he has no problem with whoever Fubara appoints. But his followers appear unwilling to compromise, insisting that “loyalty must be rewarded.”

A decision on the matter is expected to be finalized within the week, as reports indicate that the list of commissioners and key appointments could be released soon for screening.
All information remains alleged, pending official confirmation from the Rivers State Government and relevant authorities.

THE SADDEST NEWS I'VE EVER HEARD. 😭

"Dr Pratik Joshi had been living in London for the past six years. He had long dreamed of building a better future abroad for his wife and their three young children, who were staying back in India.

After years of planning, paperwork, and patience, that dream was finally coming true. Just two days ago, his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, also a medical professional, resigned from her job in India. The bags were packed, the goodbyes said, the future waiting.

This morning, all five of them, filled with hope, excitement, and plans, boarded Air India flight 171 to London. Clicked this selfie, sent it to relatives. A one-way journey to begin a new life.

But they never made it. The plane crashed. None of them survived.

In a matter of moments, a lifetime of dreams turned to ash. A brutal reminder, life is terrifyingly fragile. Everything you build, everything you hope for, everything you love, it all hangs by a thread. So while you can, live, love, and don’t wait for happiness to start tomorrow."

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Dear beautiful daughter of Zion praying for a great man to marry. Do you have what it takes to make a man great?

Is greatness in you? If it is not, no matter high a man has gone in life, you will bring him down! If greatness is in you, no matter how low, poor and suffering a man is, you will bring him high up to greatness.

What is in you? What do you carry? Blessing or curses? Failure or success? Greatness or obscurity. What you have is what you will give in a relationship and what you will eventually become!

Ladies who spend half their lives watching African Magic, reading meaningless romantic novels and gossiping all over the street will never attract great men.

Ladies who don't read, are very lazy, can't do any business that will yield profit and are late comers to work will never attract great men of great destiny!

Greedy ladies who always go into relationship to collect recharge cards, demand for the money they didn't work for and command men to take them to eateries and eat like gluttons will never attract great men of vision!

Ladies who are proud, pompous and sassy and look down on others because of their social status attract abusers and women haters not husbands.

Ladies who jump from bed to bed like frogs and sleep with anything in trouser in the name of dating are not good wife materials!

No sane man wants to marry a liability!

If you do nothing sensible with your life and you are waiting for a hardworking, promising prince charming to come and rescue you from your self imposed problems, you will wait till you grow white hairs!

Do something sensible with your life! Add value to yourself! Be a multiplier not a divider and a consumer!

Be an asset to yourself and everyone around you and you will be an asset to your husband.

Stop begging for money, make your own money!

Stop begging for love, love yourself and everyone around you and true love will find you!

Stop sleeping around, save your body for the great man God has ordained for you.

You will not miss the great husband the Lord has prepared for you in Jesus' name.
