I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT TAKING MONEY FROM CLIENTS 😲

When I started journey in graphics designing, it was a bit difficult to even charge clients. I was scared so I don't over charge and end up feeling like I deceived them or even doing something not appreciated.

I remember working on a burial programme from the house of my client. Yes, in the house of my client. I was even the one begging for family members to send in their tributes. Chai... I no fit even imagine this thing. I even slept in her family house and even helped arranging some things there though I ate some home made AKARA😄

At this level, I've known the basics of designing - Colour combinations, fonts to use, picture editing and others but was still naive.

Fast forward to last month, I declined a job of 100k monthly because what the company needed me to do for them is way beyond that amount and at this stage, I just can't let anyone use me manipulatively. Do I have all the money I need? No.

What changed? KNOWLEDGE AND GROWTH.
I went for knowledge, growth and development. I challenged myself to be better. I attended life transforming seminars and then decided to build and give more value. Now, I've built confidence, mastered my skill(even as I go for more) and made a business from my knowledge.

If you don't add intentionality into what you do, stagnation is inevitable.

In running Facebook Ads or any other ads you must know these:

1. Facebook Ads or Instagram ads is not an end itself rather, it's a means to an end. That you are running Facebook Ads doesn't mean everyone that sees your ads must patronize you. The average Nigerian thinks everything online is a scam so prove your genuineness to them. I've heard people say how to target the right audience. When you target people and don't know how to close sales, you've just wasted your money.

2. Consider your ad creative: By this, I mean ensure the picture (s), graphics or video you are using to advertise is attractive. People have seen more excellent and beautiful creatives so you can't afford to show them something unattractive. Make sense in 3 seconds.

3. Your ad copy: Don't just put any write up. Carefully craft something beautiful and appealing. Sound confident yet convincing.

4. Ensure your landing page or sales funnel is attractive and relate with humans as humans. Let's say you're using your WhatsApp as your landing page, don't threaten them with NO REFUND POLICY. Haba! You're already scaring them. Ensure to attend to people. If you lock the group because you need more people to join, always drop updates of when it will be opened so they can express themselves.

5. Do well to arrange your page or account so that they can see that your posts are in line with what you've been advertising, this is already an excuse for you not been a scammer.

6. Don't always use huge funds to run your ads: Test your ad creatives and anyone that works then you can increase your budget for good results.
