This was what I was hammering on yesterday, you get beautiful compliments when you smell good and people are naturally drawn to you but reverse is the case when you smell of sweat, soured beans and mess.

Invest in good perfumes and testify.

Good morning my people, have pleasant weekend.

Today is "OWANBE", don't go there smelling like iru or ogiri and don't also choke people with too much scents, be considerate, na all of us get this world together.

Sometimes I wonder if people don't know their own scents, like you you don't know when you smell good or when the scent from your body is repulsive.

I love it when people smell nice around me, I mean I get that natural attraction towards anyone who smells good but opposite is the case with people with odours, whether permanent or not.

People should invest in themselves for crying out loud, and doing so doesn't even cost a fortune. With few nairas one can get good bathing soap, nice lotion and a beautifully scenting perfume, nothing over the board, but no, people would rather keel you with their ad scent 😡🤬.

Another annoying set of people are those who go overboard with their perfumery. They would almost empty the contents of their perfumes in one go.

Like they would be walking about with an air of confidence while those of us who come in contact suffer in misery 🤧😫😩🤧

Just find a balance between the two extremes and stay, don't go without wearing nice scents and don't choke us to death with too much to perfumes, it's that simple.

Thank you for your understanding.

My transitioning from a typical village girl to a proper city girl was rather funny.

You know I was born and raised in the village. I only moved to Lagos with my sister when she got married.

Mhen, the first few months was hellish for me because of communication.
I could understand English and Pidgin very well but speaking was a huge problem.

People would speak to me and I will respond with gestures because I wasn't sure how to begin speaking the English.

But one incident pushed me to challenge myself about speaking English. So I was sent to go and buy "medicine", I knew the name of the medicine but I felt I should tell them that I wanted medicine, then they would ask me what kind before I will mention the name.

So back in the village, we had read a story in school about a powerful warrior and it was said that the warrior fought battles with "charms" and in Igbo language both charm and medicine have the same name – Ogwu.

So in explaining the story, our teacher had told us that the warrior uses " Ogwu" to win battles, of course she explained everything in Igbo. What she didn't do was to tell us the difference between that Ogwu – Charm and the other Ogwu – Medicine.

So feeling confident, I told the chemist in charge of the store that I wanted to buy " Charm" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You need to have seen the shock on the faces of the men who were sitting there, fortunately the chemist didn't hear me because she was inside her shop but those men did.

When I saw their reactions, I refused to repeat what I said when asked again. Rather I remained mute.

The woman asked one of the men to ask me in Igbo what I wanted since he was Igbo too and that was when I told him I wanted to buy Ogwu and he asked what type and I called the name of the medicine. 🤣🤣 Igbotic ajoka (look for a translator pls 🤧).

But look at me today flowing unhindered in English language, I may not be a professor nor a grammarian but I know my way around English language and it's usage.

The moral of this story is, never dispise your little beginnings, mistakes may abound but with much practice and corrections, perfection is assured.

Good morning and have a blessed day today.

📸 1st slide is my very first design last year and the 2nd is my design a few weeks ago, you can see that there's a huge difference between them. I have improved greatly, I must say.

Back when I started working out, I'd be so sore after each day but as the days goes by, I found out that my body craves for exercises unprovoked.

I'd feel like something is missing out if I don't work out each day.

Then came the "FAMILY" interference packaged as concern, they were like
"you don't have to go to the gym everyday"

" you can lose weight some other way not necessarily by exercising everyday" and so many other talks.

But instead of listening to them, I intensified my going to the gym by incorporating weights to my routine and believe me when I tell you this, weightlifting is the real deal.

I have never fallen in love with doing something the way I fell in love with weight trainings.

At this point of my life, I don't need any to preach to me about the importance and benefits of exercising because I feel it even in my bones.

This is a cue for you, yes you reading this to take up the challenge to exercise.

You don't necessarily have to go to the gym like me or even work out everyday, all you need is to do a few moves repeatedly every 2 to 3 days right in your room.

It could be morning or evening, whenever you have a free 10 minutes. You'd amazed at how your body will feel later on. But bear in mind that you would feel pains all over on the first few days.

If you are unsure of how to proceed or what exercises to do, just take stroll to the TUBE app and search for "Loves Fitness Corner", subscribe and set the notification for more workout videos.

This is not an advert but believe me when I say Coach Love is one of the best coaches I've met.

You can also visit him here Okere Bede Love and see what he does.

Happy Saturday.
