Few days ago, I saw a post on Chef Bawalicious page that really got me thinking.

He was looking for a vendor who could supply him with fresh seafood, and he eventually found someone.

They established trust and Chef Bawa sent him a sum of 1 million naira including logistics.

But instead of using the money for what it was meant for, this young man gambled with it.

After several failed attempts to reach him, he eventually confessed that he had lost the money through gambling.

Let's be honest here, this a mistake, someone trusted you with ₦1 million. You knew exactly what the money was meant for, yet you deliberately used it for something else.

That is a serious breach of trust.

And the situation became even worse when it was discovered that he was owing several other people, with his debts reportedly reaching about ₦10 million.

This is one of the dangers of gambling that people don't talk about enough.

Gambling doesn't only take your money, it can make you desperate to recover what you've lost, so you keep betting. Before you know it, you are drowning in debt and making decisions you never thought you would make.

A person who started with the hope of making quick money can eventually lose their job, their reputation, people's trust and even their peace of mind.

And this is why we need to stop presenting gambling as an easy way to make money.

If you have started staking small small money, pls walk away before it controls you.

Because sometimes, you don't lose everything in one bet. You lose it little by little until there is almost nothing left to save.

Save yourself and future.
Say NO to gambling.

Some of the things children are normalising online today should genuinely concern us.

A little girl shouldn't have to learn that exposing her body is the easiest way to get attention.

A little boy shouldn't have to prove he's a man by showing off girls or behaving sexually.

Children shouldn't have to grow up faster just because social media makes adulthood look exciting.

Let children be children.

And while they are growing, let's be there to teach them what the internet may never teach them properly, boundaries, self respect and good character.

Let's protect the young minds.

Sometimes we focus so much on how someone makes us feel that we forget to ask what their presence is doing to our lives.

You may be deeply in love with someone and still be losing yourself in the relationship.

A good relationship should not make you perfect, but it should make you want to do better.

You should be able to look at yourself after being with someone for a while and say, I HAVE GROWN.

Not because they forced you to change, but because their character, wisdom, discipline and way of living inspired you.

So when choosing a partner, don't only look at the sweet moments.

Look at the direction your life is taking with them.

Love who makes you happy, but pay attention to who helps you become better.

Sometimes, God removes people from your life not because you are losing them, but because you are finally finding yourself.

Are you advertising Christ through your business?

I went for a seminar today and one thing we were taught really got me thinking.

As business owners, we want to make money, grow our businesses and be successful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But as Christians, we also need to ask ourselves, Is God being glorified through what I am doing?

Because sometimes, in the process of trying to make money, we stop caring about how we make it.

Are you selling something that can destroy people's lives just because it brings profit?

Are you deceiving customers just to make more sales?

Are you treating people badly because you feel your only job is to make money?

And most importantly, when people come in contact with you through your business, what are they seeing?

Are they seeing Christ through your honesty, your character and the way you treat people?

We all want to succeed, but let's not forget that heaven is still the ultimate goal.

Make your money. Build your business. Chase your dreams.

But don't gain the whole world and lose your soul in the process.

May our businesses make profit without costing us our values, and may everything we do on earth bring glory to God. 🙏🏽

Sometimes, a woman says, “My husband doesn't give me attention anymore” without realizing that the man beside her may simply be overwhelmed.

Love is important in marriage, but love does not remove financial pressure.

If one person is constantly paying the bills, handling responsibilities and worrying about the family's needs while the other makes no effort to contribute, resentment can quietly grow.

Ladies, if you have the opportunity to learn a skill, work or start something small, please consider doing it.

It doesn't have to be much. Even a small contribution can mean a lot when your partner knows that you are trying.

Marriage is not about waiting for one person to do everything. It is about two people looking at the same problem and saying, LET'S FACE THIS TOGETHER.

Tbh, the way you treat people when you no longer need them, says a lot about you 🙄

Comparison Can Leave a Scar

Sometimes, parents compare their children because they want them to do better.

“Look at your sister.”

“See your mates.”

“Why can't you be like him?”

But what feels like motivation to a parent can sound like rejection to a child.

Eventually, the child may stop asking, HOW CAN I IMPROVE? and start asking, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Correct your child, encourage them and challenge them, but don't make them feel like they must become someone else before they are worthy of love and appreciation.

A child needs guidance not constant comparison.

I always knew that most of these young girls don't enter into relationships at such a tender age because they wanted to. Sometimes, they do it for survival.

Some of them are simply carrying the loads their parents should have carried, paying bills when they are supposed to be in class, worrying about feeding when they should be worrying about their exams, and taking on responsibilities their young minds were never prepared for.

Sometimes, what we call WAYWARDNESS is actually a child trying to survive a life she never asked for.

A girl who should be dreaming about her future is already thinking about how to put food on the table.

This is why we need to stop judging these girls so quickly. Some of them don't need condemnation, they need someone to understand their situation, support them, and remind them that they are still children who deserve to be protected.

Because when a child is forced to grow up too early, we shouldn't only ask, WHY SHE DID SO?

We should also ask, “What happened to her that made her feel she had no other choice.
