This traditional delicious fish with a red oil peppered source called "Ogo" was served at the just concluded Unyeada fishing festival 2025.

The food is called Ogo, and in Andoni tradition, Ogo is strictly for traditional purposes and not a family delicacy. Originally and according to the Andoni traditional antecedent, an individual can not decide to prepare it for themselves because once you pepare Ogo, you ought to give to the ancestors first before giving it to humans to eat.

Ogo is often prepared by either men who are dogged in the tradition of Obolo (Obat-yok) or women who are custodians of the tradition (Nwa-yok or Aman-Obolo) who shouldn't be on their monthly flow.

They don't teach people how to prepare it. Preparation of Ogo is usually being done with strict supervision. The person preparing Ogo must not eat from it until presented to the ancestors.
