HON. LUCKY OTUO SEEKS IMPROVED WELFARE FOR CORPS MEMBERS AND CASUAL WORKERS IN ANDONI~INCREASES WORKERS STIPENDS.

The Executive Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Hon. Promise Lucky Otuo has initiated measures aimed at improving the welfare of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the LGA.

Speaking during an interactive session with corps members in Andoni, Hon. Otuo expressed deep concern over the challenges faced by young graduates posted to the area. He lamented the poor state of accommodation and the absence of stable electricity, describing such conditions as unfair to individuals who contribute meaningfully to community development.

The chairman in his office at Ngo Headquarters directed that adequate housing facilities and reliable power supply be provided to corps members to enable them to perform their duties effectively while living in dignified conditions.

In the same vein, Hon. Otuo urged auxiliary teachers and other casual workers in Andoni to remain dedicated in their service while acknowledging the struggles they face with irregular pay and meagre stipends. He assured them that his administration is reviewing their remuneration as part of plans to enhance their welfare.

Hon. Lucky Otuo reiterated his commitment to revamping all sectors in the LGA, stressing that improved welfare for workers remains a key pillar in delivering on his campaign promises.
