You’ve never made 1 million naira before?
Your First Million Naira Isn’t Hiding in Big Plans. Here’s how to make N1,000,000 with what you already have:
1. Start a micro-investment habit: Put N50,000 to N200,000 into different income-generating platforms or ventures. Small streams can turn into rivers. Start with shares or stocks. So many banks offer this. You can also check Piggyvest.
2. Sell smart, not hard: Find a product worth N20,000 and sell it to just 50 people. That’s your N1m right there.
3. Monetise your skills: Whether it’s makeup, CV writing, photography, or small chops…offer a N10,000 service to 100 people.
4. Flip fashion: Buy thrift (okirika) clothes or accessories for N5,000 and resell for N10,000. Do it 200 times.
5. Teach what you know: Host a paid class, webinar, or drop a digital product for N5,000. Teach 200 people.
6. Manage Instagram/WhatsApp for small businesses
Many vendors don’t want to deal with DMs or posting. Offer to run their pages for N50K to 200k monthly. Just 5 to 10 clients = N1m.
7. Start a niche food delivery business
Cater to a specific group; like student-friendly weekly meal packs, office lunch plans. N5k–N10k per order, 100 consistent customers = N1m+
8. Curate & resell gift boxes
Bundle snacks, journals, perfumes, mugs, etc. into themed gift boxes for birthdays, baby showers, or corporate clients. Sell for N15,000–N25,000. Sell 40–70 boxes.
9. Become a mini-affiliate marketer
Promote digital products, gadgets, or beauty items for commission. Sell on FB, TikTok, WhatsApp, or Instagram. Earn N5,000–N10,000 per sale and repeat it 100–200 times.
10. Stack your wins: Mix 2 or 3 of these strategies together and you’ll hit your first million faster than you think.
I hope this helps.
PS: nothing here is a get rich quick scheme.
Give yourself time and grace.
And if you don't have a good strategy or commitment, forget it.
