✨ The Chalkboard Champion ✨🎒
This morning in Podo, I passed by St. Mary’s Primary School just as the bell rang. Children poured into the courtyard, laughing and chasing each other. But one boy stood apart, drawing shapes on the dusty ground with a stick.
I asked, “Why aren’t you playing?”
He smiled shyly and said, “I’m practicing. I want to be the best in maths so I can teach my sister.”
Turns out, his younger sister has a hearing impairment, and he’s been inventing his own way to explain numbers to her using drawings and hand signs.
“I want her to feel smart too,” he said, eyes glowing with quiet pride.
I was speechless. In that moment, I saw a teacher, a brother, and a hero, all wrapped in one tiny uniform.
Some children carry more than books. They carry dreams, love, and the power to change the world. 💫
