Kemi: hmmm...."You’ve got a point. I’d rather spend a bit more and get peace of mind—and a better pot of rice!"

Tega got a distress call from his cousin Ugo who said his wife was rushed to the hospital for an Emergency Caesarian section and he needed a total of four hundred thousand naira to save the lives of both his wife and unborn child,

Tega who just received his salary that same day was so touched and decided to send three hundred thousand naira out of his 400,000 naira salary to his cousin, after all, it was a life and death matter and 'what is family all about if we can't help each other ' he thought to himself.

As he sent out the money, with deep relief in his heart, he sent the usual amount he sends to his mother as monthly upkeep and drops the phone to rest for the night.

He woke up the next morning to several messages from three other of his cousins, his younger sister and his compound brother, all asking for for his help for different needs.

Hmmm.......the total sum they all needed was about 200,000 naira, so he decided to send 5,000 naira each to all of them,

His total balance for his salary was 50,000 naira and he made up his mind to manage it for transportation and feeding for the month since he was still single.

By 12 p.m he received a call summoning him to his mother's house, as he got there, his mother was seated with two of his Uncle's wives.

They started by asking him why he doesn't want to marry at his age, after listening to them for a while, he decided to step outside for fresh air, then he overheard some of his cousins discussing how stingy he was and how he could only give them 5,000 naira after they asked him for 20 to 25 thousand naira.

He left for his house to think of what to do with his life.
