Female Billionaire Become The World Richest

Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken the largest shareholder in Heineken, saw an increase in her net worth to become the world's richest person.

According to Forbes' estimations, her net worth rose to $11.04 trillion on Wednesday, March 5, at the time of writing this report.

She became the first person in the world to have a net worth of $11 trillion and the first female billionaire to top the chart, although her wealth is linked to her family.

Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken's wealth is thanks to her nearly 24% stake in beer giant Heineken N.V., the world's second-largest brewer.

Forbes reports that she inherited the stake in 2002 from her late father, longtime CEO Freddy Heineken. Charlene, her husband Michel, sons Charles and Alexander, and daughter Louisa Brassey all sit on Heineken boards.

As of July 2024, her net worth was estimated at just $14.1 billion.

Nigeria Get First Female University To Be Sites In Zaria, Kaduna State.

Nigeria now has a female only university, Tazkiyah University, with the lecturers likely to be all female too.

According to the founder, the university, to be sited in Zaria, Kaduna State, was founded by the renowned Sufi Sheikh, Professor Ibrahim Maqari, who also serves as the Chief Imam of the National Mosque, Abuja.

“It is envisioned as a university exclusively for women, potentially even staffed entirely by female lecturers—an unprecedented model in Nigeria’s higher education system.”

Professor Maqari. Who first hinted about the establishment of the university on his page, expressed gratitude to God.

He said the profits generated by the institution will be placed in a fund to support orphans indefinitely.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, had last week announced the newly-approved universities.

He listed them as Tazkiyah University, Kaduna State; Leadership University, Abuja; Jimoh Babalola University, Kwara State; Bridget University, Mbaise, Imo State; Greenland University, Jalingo, Taraba State; JEFAP University, Niger State; Azione Verde University, Imo State; Unique Open University, Lagos State; and American Open University, Ogun State.

Ex-Google executive speaks on why certain degrees may not be worth the time anymore.

Jad Tarifi, the founder of Google’s first generative-AI team, says higher education is on the verge of “becoming obsolete.”

As Gen Z graduates are struggling to land jobs, Tariff warned that pursuing a doctoral degree to stand out is not the answer.

He said students could end up “throwing away” years of their lives, as technology is moving so quickly.

He claimed undergraduate degrees have lost their benefits thanks to AI. This, he said has made young people turn to advanced schooling to unlock jobs with competitive salaries.

"AI itself is going to be gone by the time you finish a PhD. Even things like applying AI to robotics will be solved by then,” Jad Tarifi stated.

Tarifi graduated with a PhD in AI in 2012, when the subject was far less mainstream. But today, the 42-year-old says, time would be better spent studying a more niche topic intertwined with AI, like AI for biology—or maybe not a degree at all.

"Higher education as we know it is on the verge of becoming obsolete,” Tarifi said to Fortune. “Thriving in the future will come not from collecting credentials but from cultivating unique perspectives, agency, emotional awareness, and strong human bonds."

“I encourage young people to focus on two things: the art of connecting deeply with others, and the inner work of connecting with themselves.”

“Even studying to become a medical doctor or lawyer may not be worth the time anymore,” he said.

Those degrees take so long to complete in comparison with how quickly AI is evolving that they may result in students just “throwing away” years of their lives, Tarifi added.

“In the current medical system, what you learn in medical school is so outdated and based on memorization,” he said.

Tarifi is not alone in his feeling that higher education is not keeping up with the shifting AI tides. In fact, many tech leaders have recently expressed concerns that the rising cost of school paired with an outdated curriculum is creating a perfect storm for an unprepared workforce.

“I’m not sure that college is preparing people for the jobs that they need to have today,” Mark Zuckerberg said on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast in April.

“I think that there’s a big issue on that, and all the student debt issues are…really big."

“It’s sort of been this taboo thing to say, ‘Maybe not everyone needs to go to college,’ and because there’s a lot of jobs that don’t require that, people are probably coming around to that opinion a little more now than maybe like 10 years ago,” Zuckerberg added.

Even OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that his company’s latest AI model can already perform in ways equivalent to those with a PhD.

“GPT-5 really feels like talking to a PhD-level expert in any topic,” Altman said earlier this month. “Something like GPT-5 would be pretty much unimaginable in any other time in history.”

Bill Gates has also admitted that, AI is accelerating at a pace that surprises even him.

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has announced the withdrawal of the criminal complaint against Ms. Comfort Emmanson related to her unruly behaviour on an Ibom Airline flight on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

In a press statement issued today, Keyamo said consultations with key stakeholders in the aviation sector and those involved in the recent airport incidents informed the decision.

He noted that the episodes have raised public awareness about appropriate conduct in the aviation space and highlighted gaps in airport security protocols.

Keyamo stressed that evidence shows both passengers and airline staff were at fault in the incidents, and all parties must acknowledge their share of responsibility.

Following appeals from well-meaning individuals and the remorse shown by Ms. Comfort Emmanson, Keyamo confirmed the withdrawal of the complaint.

When the Police took her statement in the presence of her lawyer, she exhibited great remorse for her conduct,” he said.

He added that the Police and Airport Command will facilitate her release from Kirikiri Prisons within the week.

Keyamo also confirmed that the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have agreed to lift the lifetime flying ban previously imposed on her, with details to be released publicly by the AON.

The Airline Operators of Nigeria has imposed a no-fly life ban on a female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, who allegedly assaulted airline officials on an Ibom Air flight inbound Lagos from Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The AON, in a statement by its spokesperson, Obiora Okonkwo, on Monday, said the ban on Emmanson from flying with any AON member, either domestically or internationally, for life, takes immediate effect.

Ibom Air had placed a travel restriction on Emmanson, for assaulting members of the airline’s Uyo–Lagos flight crew at the Lagos airport on Sunday.

Viral videos showed the passenger lashing slaps on one of the airline’s flight attendant, even as security officials tried to restrain her.

"She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off."

"This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson. The situation was eventually calmed, and the flight departed as scheduled"

Upon arrival in Lagos, Ms. Emmanson waited for all other passengers to disembark and then proceeded to confront the Purser who had earlier instructed her. She walked up to the unsuspecting Purser, stepped on her, forcibly tore off her wig, removed her glasses and threw it to the floor, and used her footwear to assault her,” the airline said.

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has condemned the release of an indecent video of the Ibom Air Passenger, Comfort Emmanson, who was accused of assaulting a crew member at airport, on Sunday.

The minister said he had directed that whoever released the indecent part of the video should be identified and sanctioned.

“Whilst we support the filming of her recalcitrant behaviour as evidence to prosecute her, what is deplorable is to release such evidence containing indecent exposure to the public to ridicule her. That is totally unacceptable to us.

“We will not fold our arms and tolerate the debasing of womanhood. I have therefore directed that whoever RELEASED that part of the video containing the indecent exposure amongst the staff should be singled out and adequately sanctioned.

“I have also directed that the airlines must continue to train and retrain their staff in public relations and how to deal with potentially explosive situations in order to diffuse them promptly or nip them in the bud, except when it becomes inevitable,” said the senior advocate of Nigeria in a post on X on Monday.

He urged genuinely aggrieved passengers to follow laid-down remedies to address grievances.

The minister stated, “The Consumer Protection Directorate of the NCAA has consistently advertised these remedies, and there is no point in trying to take the law into one’s hands that may lead to dire consequences. We will continue to apply equal sanctions available to us in aviation on any such erring passengers, that is, lengthy flight bans, and report the matters to other law-enforcement agencies to do their bit within their powers.” he stated.

Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa. He has never been a governor or minister - HRH Sanusi Lamido

Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has condemned government officials who pursue public office primarily to embezzle funds, using business magnate Aliko Dangote as an example of how wealth can be legitimately acquired outside government.

the Emir emphasized that public service should be about serving citizens rather than personal enrichment. “When you go into public office, it’s an opportunity to serve. You don’t go into public office in order to make money. Now, many of the people that have assumed office since then simply did not have that upbringing. They did not have that training. And many people go into government, uh, for the wrong reasons. You do not go into government to make money. If you want to make money, you become a businessman. Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa; he has never been a governor or a minister,” he stated.

The Emir delivered a scathing assessment of Nigeria’s leadership culture, arguing that the country’s value system has been fundamentally corrupted. “So, I think the entire value system of the country has been eroded. We have been ruled by people who have no values. People who come from places where they have no names behind them and they have no desire to leave a name after them. These are people who define themselves by what they own – how many houses they have, how many private jets they have, how many billions they have in bank accounts, and they think that is something. It is not; it is not important to them,” Sanusi explained.

He described how such leaders are perceived by the public and emphasized the irrelevance of material possessions without integrity. “People look at them and they only see thieves, they see criminals, they see people who have taken away the commonwealth. The name is simply not important because for them, the values do not matter. So, I think we need an entire regeneration of values. It is not about one person. The president or the governor or a minister cannot on his own change these things in this country,” he argued.
