The suspected Fulani herdsmen ki||ing the indegenous people of the Middle Belt and taking over their ancestral lands and homes are like the biblical Israalites.
According to the Bible, the Israalites are the descendants of Abraham who came from the land of Ur. Abraham was in his father's house minding his business when God called him, had a covenant with him, and asked him to leave his father's land and move to the the land he would show him. That land happened to the land of the Palestinians.
Through Abraham's descendant, Jacob, the Jews moved to Egypt and became slaves for over 40 years. When God rescued them from the slavery he led them through Moses to the Promised Land, that is, the land he promised Abraham and his descendants. Moses didn't succeed, and so called Called Joshua to fulfill the promise.
Before the Israalites could take over the Land, they had to exterminate the inhabitants of the Land.
Remember that the land didn't originally belong to the Israalites, But they claimed God gave it to them.
"Command the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance—the land of Canaan to its boundaries." Num 34:2
Before taking over the lands, the Israelites had to wage wars against the inhabitants — the Palestinians, Jebusites, Hitites, Amorites, etc.
The biblical story is playing out in our day as the Fulani herdsmen who are killing the indegenous people of Taraba, Benue, Plateau were alleged to have said that the lands were given to them by Allah for inheritance.
If this is true, it means like the Israalites, these guys believe that they are fighting Holy War. In other words, they believe that they are doing the of Allah.
WHAT do you think about this?🤷
