Umeh husband wrote;
Blessed are those who are “house boys” and “house girls” in their home. For they shall have peace in abundance.
When I was growing up, my dad once told me a story about a couple who were always quarreling because they were listening to other people’s negative opinions of them and were on the verge of breaking up. They had gone to court to separate and divide their properties. The woman raised her hands and listed everything she wanted – cars, lands, money, jewelry, etc.
When it was the man’s turn to choose, everyone expected him to point to the biggest property. Instead, he simply said, “I choose my wife.”
That one statement ended the matter of divorce. The judge told them to go home and spend one month together, and if they still had differences, they should come back for the dissolution of the marriage. They went back home to press restart.
Listen up, because the man understood a powerful truth: when you choose your spouse, you are automatically choosing everything she becomes.
The lesson is this: if you invest in your wife, make her better, uplift her dreams, her success will still flow back to you and your home. Whatever greatness she attains will enrich the family and even multiply your own legacy.
Many men are quick to chase self-advancement alone while relegating their partner to the rear. A car will depreciate, a house will age, money will finish. But if you pour love, support, and wisdom into your wife, she will keep producing new blessings that will outlive material things.
That’s why I choose to hold my home down, help her climb higher, and give her wings to fly. Because when she rises, we all rise.
This is not weakness. This is wisdom. This is not slavery. This is strategy. This is not being a “house boy” or “house girl.” This is partnership, love, and legacy building.
At the end of the day, the true wealth of a man is not in the titles people call him, but in the joy that radiates from his home. And as you can see from this picture, happiness cannot be faked, it is the fruit of choosing each other daily.
