At the just-concluded Brand Up Training, we did more than teach, we engaged.

From day one, our focus was clear: prioritise active student participation and create room for real-world practice.

Why? Because we believe effective learning doesn’t happen by passive listening, it happens when students are *doing*, *creating*, and *interacting* with real scenarios.

We designed each session to bridge theory and action through live briefs, role-play, group challenges, and guided feedback so every participant could experience what it truly means to build and communicate a brand that connects and converts.

Our participants didn’t just absorb information, they applied it. And that’s the kind of transformation we aim for. Because at D’lor Academy, we don’t just teach, We shape confident professionals ready to deliver results in the real world.

The greatest asset of any nation is not just its natural resources, but its people.

Human capital development entails investing in the education, skills, health, and productivity of individuals.

It is the bedrock of sustainable economic growth and resilient communities.

It refers to equipping people with the knowledge, competencies, and capacities they need to contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.

This includes: Quality education and lifelong learning, Vocational and technical skills, Health and well-being Leadership and innovation capabilities etc.

Through Human Capital Development we can:

- Boost Economic Productivity

- Reduce Inequality and Poverty

- Drive Innovation and Competitiveness

- Strengthen Social Stability

- Empowers Communities for Self-Reliance

- Supports the SDGs and Agenda 2063

For human capital to translate into national progress, governments, civil society, and the private sector must:

- Prioritize inclusive education systems

- Promote skills development linked to market needs

- Ensure access to healthcare

- Create enabling environments for entrepreneurship and job creation

No economy can grow beyond the quality of its people.

Human capital development is not luxury, it's a strategic necessity.

When we invest in people, we build the foundation for thriving economies, peaceful societies, and a more sustainable future for all.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝟯 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁) 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀

Sarah landed her first role as a Product Manager at a fast-growing SaaS startup.

She had a clear vision for the product and worked hard to make sure everyone was aligned. Or so she thought.

Midway into their Q3 sprint, the engineering team released a new feature that was sleek, fast, functional. But not what Sarah had asked for.

It had the right name. But the logic? Wrong. The flow? Confusing. The outcome? Useless to users.

When she confronted the lead engineer, his response stung: “We built exactly what your spec said. If you wanted something else, it wasn’t clear.” Ouch.

What followed was 3 weeks of rework, frustrated engineers, a missed deadline, and one very awkward retrospective.

Her written requirements weren’t wrong, they just weren’t clear enough. She didn’t take the time to align deeply with the dev team and she assumed everyone saw the big picture the same way she did.

Most 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 have been there. But here’s the thing, miscommunication doesn’t just delay timelines. It chips away at trust, It creates “us vs them” mentalities, And worst of all? It disconnects the product from its users.

If you’re a PM who's tired of writing specs that get misinterpreted or constantly feeling like a translator between Tech and business, It’s time to level up how you communicate.

Join our upcoming course on 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 kicking off May 10, 2025.

And In 4 weeks, we’ll help you master: Cross-functional communication frameworks.

Writing and speaking for clarity, Navigating difficult conversations with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.

Reserve your seat now and turn miscommunication into mastery.

One of the most underrated challenges product managers face isn’t writing specs, prioritizing features, or managing sprints.

It’s communicating across functions — translating ideas, aligning goals, and creating clarity between teams that speak very different "languages."

As a PM, you're the bridge — but that bridge often cracks under pressure.

Here’s why:

1. Different Priorities, Same Product - Each team has its own success metrics.

2. Ambiguity in Product Goals - If your product vision isn't crystal clear, everyone starts interpreting it their own way,

3. Too Much Technical Jargon with Non-Technical Stakeholders.

Here’s the truth: You can’t build great products without building strong communication skills.

And the best PMs? They don’t just manage teams — they communicate with clarity.

If you're tired of feeling like the middleman who’s constantly misunderstood, our Team Communication for Product Managers course was designed for you.

It's a 4-week live course starting May 10th, 2025, packed with actionable strategies to help you lead better, speak with clarity, and build trust across every function.

April 21st is a global reminder that creativity isn’t just for artists—it’s a problem-solving superpower.

Especially when it comes to communication. Because let’s face it—miscommunication is one of the biggest silent blockers in teams, and technical work environments aren’t exempt.

But what if we approached communication breakdowns the same way we approach product bugs or system errors with creativity.

Here’s how creative thinking can turn messy conversations into meaningful collaboration:

1. Reframe the Problem: Instead of asking, “Why didn’t they understand me?”, ask “How else can I explain this?” Shifting your perspective is the first step to unlocking better dialogue.

2. Use Analogies or Visuals: Stuck explaining a complex Tech process? Compare it to something relatable. Or sketch it. Creativity simplifies the abstract.

3. Role Reversal: Put yourself in the other person’s shoes. What might be confusing from their angle? This builds empathy—and empathy strengthens clarity.

4. Make Space for Play: Some of the best ideas and breakthroughs come when people feel safe to express themselves freely. A creative team culture reduces friction and boosts understanding.

Communication doesn’t break down because people aren’t smart. It breaks down when we stop being curious—and stop being creative.

So today, let’s celebrate the power of creativity to not just build, but to connect.

P.S: What’s the most creative way you’ve solved a communication challenge at work? Share it with us—your story could inspire someone else.

Alice froze.

She was in the middle of a sprint review when her manager asked a question about the system’s data caching behavior. Everyone turned to her. After all, she led the last update.

The truth? Alice didn’t know the answer. But saying “I don’t know” felt like waving a flag that said, “I’m not good at my job.”

So She did what many professionals do—She mumbled a half-baked explanation, hoping no one would notice. Spoiler alert: they noticed. Worse still, her guess was wrong—and it created more confusion than clarity.

After the meeting, her team lead pulled her aside and said something that changed the way Alice communicated:

“It’s okay not to know. It’s not okay to pretend.”

From then on, Alice started doing something smarter: When she didn’t know, she’d say:

➡️ “That’s a good question. I don’t have the full answer right now, but I’ll find out and circle back.” or

➡️ “I want to be sure I give you the right info. Let me double-check and get back to you shortly.”

Guess what? Nobody thought less of her. In fact, they trusted her more—because she was honest, responsible, and clear.

The takeaway? Saying “I don’t know” doesn’t make you look weak. Saying it well makes you look wise, self-aware, and dependable.

Have you ever struggled to admit that you didn’t know something at work? Let’s talk about it—your story might just help someone else.
