AKWA IBOM TO STANDARDIZE BRIDE PRICE? 💍
The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is proposing that bride prices and traditional marriage requirements be standardized across all local government areas in the state.

According to lawmakers, the goal is to reduce the high cost of marriage, ease the financial burden on intending couples, and encourage more young people to get married.

The Assembly has asked the Traditional Rulers Council to review and harmonize bride prices, while relevant ministries and stakeholders have been directed to create public awareness and ensure compliance.
